Android Central Question

I currently have the 6P will I be able to use the sprint sim card and just transfer it to the new phone? I tried the chat with Sprint and of course they had nothing about the new phone in the system. Thanks in advance.. Ordered the XL 2 Black Shipping Oct 23rd

Pixel 2 has a nano SIM slot, but also supports eSIM. Since the 6P has a nano SIM, you can just transfer it over.

As long as the SIM card you have is a nano SIM it should work. I do seem to recall some carriers had a specific SIM for the Nexus 6 for some reason, keep this in mind when trying to swap your SIM in - not because the size is different but because it may not work for some reason. If it doesn't work, many carriers are happy to replace the SIM card so you can continue to use their service.

You will need a new Sim card with Sprint. Try chatting again. I chatted and got one sent to me. With Sprint and Sim cards they have certain ones that work with certain phones. You will need a newer isim. They are sending me LTEGSM 4FF REM ISIM V2.

I was able to chat tonight and place an order for what Sprint calls a BYOD SIM kit isim, item #760492035279 . Hopefully that is the right card. They did/could not give me a number like the one in the post above. Chat told me that I should be able to activate the new Pixel myself without having to go into a store and if I have any trouble to chat in again. I'm looking forward to seeing how this pans out!

I received my SIM card from Sprint. It seems to be different from the one listed above. The one that I got is ISIM V1 activation kit, Sim Card SIMOLW416Q

Can anyone weigh in on this as to whether or not I have the right card. If not, I'd like to take care of it before my phone arrives. Thank you.

Just came from the Sprint store, first Pixel 2 they've seen. We tried the SIM for Pixel 1st gen, it wouldn't activate. Customer service ordered ... WW GEM LTE+GSM REM 4FF CSIM V5

I just realized I was in XL question, but this ws non-XL model.

^ It’s all good since both devices are in the same forum, to which I’ll move this thread.

You'll need one of these 3 sim cards:

Pixel 2 / XL requires a ISIM BYOD kit.

BYOD SKU 760492035279

or a ISIM V1 / V2

CZ2114LWQ

019962040849

SIMGLW416Q

or

CZ4114LWQ

854798005125

SIMOLW416Q

If you go to Best buy they have the Boost Mobile SIM that will work. It's a 3 pack and has the SIMOLW416Q that you need for Pixel 2.

Did the SIM cards work? Had my Pixel 2XL for less than 24 hours, 2 different Sprint stores, 2 different SIM cards, and phone restarts on me randomly. Works fine without SIM card. Can anyone help?
