Pixel 2 XL Wont Detect or Stream to ANY smart TV that I own

I have a 50 inch Vizio that has chromecast built in, I am not able to detect or add this device to my Google Home, 2016 model if that matters

I just bought and setup a LG 65 inch brand new 2018 model tv (says Google assistant is installed) and I am unable to connect to it as well

I have tried using Alexa, Google home, each manufacturers app, none of them can detect either one of my Smart TVs. I would prefer to have all of my devices in my home under the Google Home

The LG is registered as well, I just went through the process because that is what the App wanted me to do, and it still doesnt work, I even tried commanding Alexa to discover the device and it still cant.

I am able to connect to my 'dumb TV' that has a Chromecast ($30 unit) though, which I find very odd

This is extremely frustrating to say the least, we have a somewhat new/up to date phone, and brand new TVs that we are not able to do anything with, yet a $30 unit works. We have WIFI connected as we are able to watch Netflix and etc, but we have to use the remote, so I know that my internet connection works.

Yes all of my devices in my home are on the same 2g network

I have also tried this on my wife's Samsung S9+, she is not able to connect to anything except our 'dumb TV' either

Phones are up to date and so are all of the TVs. I have even tried resetting the TVs to factory and starting, I have not reset the LG to factory as it about 2 hours old from the box.

Any tips and or advice would be appreciate thanks

I'm guessing your TVs either don't have Chromecast built in, or there is a setting to turn it on that is not switched on.

Please list your TV model numbers.

Is the LG, need to find the Vizio

It says it has Google Assistant built in, even on the box, im looking at it right now

Regardless of any of that, the LG app cant even detect the phone

I was however able to stream using the TVCast app, as it made me type in my phone's IP address into the TV, which I dont think is entirely the right way, plus I have a million pop up ads before it can even play a video

I just want to be able to connect this TV to my Google Home Assist, and be able to say ;hey google, turn on my living room tv', and etc

I even tried 'hey google setup my assistant' (per the LG TV screen instructions) and it wont detect it
Tried on both phones

What kind of router do you have?
Does it only support 2.4GHz or does it support 5GHz as well? Is it configured for B, G, N or AC?

ASUS 3100
It supports both 2.4 and 5g

Dono what the last part means

I dont think this should be this complicated.
My google home speakers showed up on my phone to be paired to the network
So did the chromecast dongle itself for my dumbtv

I might have made the incorrect assumption assuming that this tv had chromecast built in, as it semed to have all of the other bells and whistles, especially the google assist being built in

What is odd is that ALEXA wont even detect the tv >.>

Regardless, I put the chromecast dongle into the new 65 inch TV and i am able to control everything from my phone using it

It is more convenient and faster for me to type the name of the show on my phone, and stream from phone to TV, than it is for me to use the remote to scroll to each letter lol

Plus its nice to say 'hey google, play stranger things on living room tv'

According to the specs, the LG has Google Assistant built in - but it doesn't have Chromecast built in. You can't 'cast' from GA to another GA.

Yeah I see that now

BUT, the Vizio I have (model vizio d50f-e1) Should have Chromecast built in
yet, I cannot stream to it, nor does it show up on any of my devices. It's like Chromecast got 'disabled'

I don't see any mention of Chromecast in the specs for that device. I think you're confusing SmartTV (which means that it has apps built-in) with Chromecast.

That's two derp moments in one, I read, it is the vizio d50f-F1 that has it

Just purchased a new LG 50 inch 2018 model and my phone picked it right up check to make sure both are on the same WiFi channel.
