I would like to upgrade from my original Pixel to the 3 128GB and would like to get it from Best Buy. Does anyone have an idea when they will have it in stock again? They wont tell me a date. I figured someone on here might have an idea based on their history or something. I'm not sure how long they have been out of stock either. I believe Best Buy is the best deal right now aside from not having it in stock?

Bestbuy only sells the Verizon version. Is that what you want? If so, yes, they have better Verizon deals than Google store.

One negative thing not buying from Google is that their warranty expectation as written is that you handle service through the carrier or vendor. I don't know how strict they follow that policy if you put up a fight or have a hard time getting satisfaction. Ulimately they should bare some responsibility. I that if you buy a Verizon unit from Google you have the option of going through either source. I could swear that a couple non Google customers went through Google but I do recall one Target customer being turned away from Google. Also, if you have a problem purchsed through Google they will send you the replacement first by I just putting a temporary hold on your credit card for two or three days. do you have the option to send back your unit first. They also usually replaced with a new unit unless it has been a long time from the date of purchase.

Yep, that was me. Still dealing with the mushy Power button on my Pixel 2 XL; fortunately I don't have to use it often.
Figured I'd wait for a total meltdown before having to deal with Target.

I'm sorry that happened to you! You're right about the Power button though - it doesn't have to be used often, though it's still a bummer.

I went to Best Buy yesterday - an inventory check revealed no Pixel 3 XL models within 100 miles. Went home, jumped online, ordered from BestBuy.com late Friday afternoon. It shipped an hour later and will be here Monday! Pixel 3 XL, Black, 128GB

PS good sale price to boot!

You're not on Verizon?

I don't think the stores carry a lot of inventory except for certain phones. I remember when I went to Best Buy to buy Nexus 6P they only had the smallest memory and only one color in stock. Anything else you had to order.

If I was looking for an XL this would be great. The non XL is out of stock online.

As far as warranty goes I had great luck with my pixel 3 from best buy , it got to where it wouldn't keep a LTE signal
I took it in to best buy and they handed me a brand new one. It's hard to beat that.

Yep, I'm on Verizon but bought it at Target because at the time they were offering a $250 Target gift card PLUS the $300 off using the Verizon payment plan.
I assumed, based on the run-around that I got from Google, that I'd have to deal with Target if I had any issues.

Did you purchase the Best Buy replacement warranty, or did they honor the factory warranty?

You could probably go through Verizon but most likely you'll get a refurbished unit

I'm pretty sure I have the accidental damage warranty ,
But this was a factory defect I'm assuming since the phone was never dropped and had always been in a case.
At any rate I didn't have to pay a deductible I was just handed a new phone. And was told that's how they're policy was concerning pixel warranty replacement.
I believe had it been treated as a best buy warranty claim I would've had a deductible.

You're correct..... A defect goes under standard warranty....damage claim has a deductible. Outside the standard warranty the extended warranty may or may not have a deductible for defects
