Today's day hike. Washington Cascades about 50 miles east of Seattle.

Thanks to both of you. It was an exceptional day. Absolutely gorgeous if not just a tad bit COLD. In the sun it was pretty nice but I had mittens, hat and fluffy jacket on for half the hike back down. The snowy woods are very serene and the lake soothing. It is rare that it is so calm. The top lake was Talapus and the others of Ollalie.

I bet it was cold! But the shots are breathtaking! I love nature shots. Please post more whenever you get inspiration!

Thanks, B. Diddy and Morty! I guess one of the few positives from the pandemic is that I have more time to do this walk/hike.

Actually, today's bike ride (pictureless) was colder at least for my toes and fingers! Thanks for the compliments. I hope to get out more.

Oh, I bet! The extremities feel it the most, eh?

Yes. I believe that I might have frost-bitten my toes years ago. They are very sensitive and when the temps are in the mid 40's F (7C), I need to use electric insoles when biking, otherwise my toes get very painful. The toes were on the edge yesterday. Occasionally, I've finished a day of cross-country skiing and taken off my boots and socks and while my arch/instep are red and warm, my toes are completely white.

But here's from today's walk at Discovery Park. Nice color and long morning shadows.

A few shot over the last week. That's the moon this morning, not the sun (g)

Today's hike to Cedar Butte. About four miles round trip and 900 feet of elevation gain but the first mile is essentially flat.
