Pixel 3 / 3 XL - Shipping Discussion

Ordered Pixel 3 xl black on 10/11/18 through Project Fi, Est Ship - Nov 8-9, still hasn't shipped. Still has an option to cancel. I've seen some people get there phones shipped before the estimated ship date. Wish that would happen to me.

I originally posted that BB indicated it would ship by 10/23. Got the notification that it shipped today. Set the delivery address to my work address as the lobby will sign for it. Picked up the "fog" Google case at VZ and ordered some screen protectors that will be here Sunday. Getting things lined up and ready!

Order two unlocked 64GB P3's from the Google Store on 10/13 with the original delivery dates were 10/24-10/25. I was amazed when they shipped on 10/16 and the delivery date changed to 10/18. Yea! Unfortunately with direct signature required and no one home when the FedEx guy showed up I had to watch him drive up, walk to the door and finally walk away on my camera system. Booo. Hopefully I'll have them in hand tomorrow.

Hello,

I ordered my Pixel 3 XL, Just Black, 128GB from the online Google store on Oct 9 right after the keynote. I received it on Oct 18th.

I pulled the sim out of my Note 9 and will see if I can tolerate the notch.....that NOTCH.....THAT N-O-T-C-H! So far, it's good. Nice and fluid.

Pre ordered through Google store Pixel 3 xl unlocked White 128gb upfront cost no financing , right after the keynote within minutes. It said it would be delivered between October 22-24. Got an email today it will be delivered by November 6-7

Picked up the 2 Pixel 3 XLs I ordered from Best Buy last night. Now updating everything and learning what is new.

OT, somewhat. Several have posted about FedEx requiring a signature for the phone delivery. Several have posted about FedEx not requiring a signature. I have an order coming from newegg for a $28 computer part, it requires a signature. They provided me with a printable form I can sign if I am not going to be home. What interests me is over the years I've had newegg orders for over $1000.00 and never had to sign for them.

It seems, at least in some cases, the shipping rules are changing. While contemplating this annoyance, I remembered the frequent news stories about people following the delivery trucks and stealing package after the drivers left. Bad people, bad, bad, bad.

Given a choice of FedEx or UPS, I'll take UPS any day.

Feel free to use this info as you see fit.

I was just typing that I hope my case gets here before I go out and the text came through saying it's delivered so it must be outside my door.
Good thing because I fumbled it as it was charging I went to pick it up and the cable hung up and I almost dropped it but it would have fell on the carpet

That was a near miss, for sure! So glad it didn't fall!

Case and screen protector arrived a day before the phone. Using the Spigen liquid crystal clear case with a Vigeer tempered glass screen protector. (does not fit well and pulling up on the bottom and the top of the phone)

So far so good and happy with my decision to sell my iPhone X and come back to Android with the Pixel 3.

I wanted to get something on the Phone asap until I decided what case I am going g with, right now it's between the Google Fabric and Bellroy Leather. For screen protection I am waiting on Dome Glass.

First impression of the Pixel 3 was how good it feels in the hand. Love the footprint of the smaller phone and it has a nice heft and solid feeling. The camera is as good as people say and coming from the Pixel 2 XL I can tell an immediate improvement.

Was I upset at the increase of price....yes. In the end I can see where the value is now that I have it in hand. Everyone is calling this an S year and I see it more like the move from Nexus to Pixel, a leap forward. Yes the CPU and RAM are conversation points and yet, everything around them on this phone has improved.

So in the end, I have sold my iPhone X and could not be happier with my decision to go with the Pixel 3.

As I said yesterday, I received my 3xl and there was an issue with the sim card being recognized. They convinced me, against my better judgement, to wait 24 hours to see if they could come up with a fix. When I got to my office this morning @6:30, I decided that this was not making me happy and called google again.
This time I told them that I wanted a new device sent to me and not only did I not want to wait for a fix but I wanted the shipment expedited and I wanted some compensation.
I was escalated to a manager and while I couldn't do anything regarding the shipment as the rep had already did the rma, the manager was putting in for some sort of comp for me. She couldn't tell me what that may be but that I should receive an email within 24 to 48 hours with that said comp.
I doubt that it's going to make me happy but I really have no choice but to wait for my 2nd (lol) new 3xl and see what lame thing they are going to give me.
A couple of things I'll add though. The phone looks and feels great. The display definitely looks better than my 2xl.
I put on my new fabric case and it's perfect. A little thinner than last years case and also feels good.
Another plus to the rma is that I get to keep all of the accessories so I'll have an extra charging block and wired earbuds, which by the way sounded pretty damn good on my 2xl.
Anyway, glad to see everyone is having good luck with their deliveries.

UPDATE: got a call just now on my office phone from the google manager I spoke with which was surprising. She informed me that she received approval to give me $50 google store credit for my inconvenience. This will be in addition to the $50 pre order credit I'll be getting.
So while I'm not happy to wait for my new phone, I have to be satisfied with the $50 credit and extra accessories.
I'm going to call it a good experience because I am a glass half full kind of guy. lmao!!!!!

I preordered on 10/9 right when BB offered, I purchased the Pixel 3 XL 128gb in Not Pink for pickup on 10/18. Well sad to say, yesterday evening I got an email saying there was a delay, apparently BB didn’t receive any not pink 128gbs at my location. So now, I play the waiting game.

Re: Order a Pixel 3 / 3 XL? Is it shipping / card charged / etc? Sound off here!

I ordered my phone on launch day. My ship date was October 22nd and it has now been pushed to November 6th. I also ordered through Google. This is ridiculous.

Got my Pixel stand and fog color case today for my 128gb white Pixel XL that is... delayed. I contacted google through the google store, who have since forwarded my ticket to Google Fi because I ordered the phone through there. Why does my phone order show up in my google store account, and direct me to their support, if it's a Google Fi problem? I'm pretty let down by Google's service right now...

Received my P3XL 64Gb White yesterday and it is noticably an upgrade from last year. Everything on this device feels premium!! On another note I've read some comments about VZW not allowing other SIM cards from other wireless providers because they lock it down for 24 hours. I activated my device on VZW at about 7PM last night and received this message this morning. Might be of interest to some.
