With a 2 year warranty, there is no need to switch from the pixel 2 anytime soon unless the camera somehow becomes dslr quality in the pixel 3. I think a lot of us are in the same boat with you.

I would stick with my Pixel 2 XL until Pixel 4 comes out if there are notches.

Love the Pixel 3 look. If it's the same size as my Pixel 2 with small bezels, a 5.5" 18:9 display and the same internals as the 3 XL I'm down for the smaller one for sure. A battery size bump would be nice too.

Yeah it does, just smaller. I really hope it doesn't have the weird sensor buttons (please keep real buttons Google).

As much as I like a big screen for watching stuff and gaming, that is a small percentage of what I use my phone for so I'll likely be sticking with the smaller one.

Notches are fine, haven't ruined my phone experience. I'm more concerned about LG being tapped again to source the panels for the XL, but hopefully they learned from the 2 XL.

The notch looks very thick and big compared to other android phones.
Bottom bezels also looks kind of big.

I like the small notch on OnePlus 6 and Huawei P20 Pro

Two front cameras? Yawn. Two main cameras, maybe, to increase the dynamic range even further. But HDR+ seems to be pretty good.

I'm not understanding why everyone is reading that second cutout on the front as a second camera. Sure, it's possible, but it would seem extremely unlikely they would add a second to the front before adding a second (perhaps specialized telephoto or wide-angle) to the back.

I think the more likely reason for that cutout would be (sigh) for sensors for better facial recognition. So long as they keep a FPS, won't bother me - there's simply no more convenient way to unlock, imo (unless wearing gloves, and there's actually a solution for that).

This is a really, really good point. The simple fact is, unless Google decides to go with a 2 year warranty on Pixels moving forward, rather than offering it to allay (unfounded) concerns early on with the Pixel 2XL launch), if you buy a Pixel 3/3XL, its warranty will only barely last longer than that of your Pixel 2/2XL.

Samsung bloat is overblown as is the battery degradation... My S9 has half the bloat of the S6 & S7 & I've been able to delete much of what I couldn't before. I've never had issues with battery degradation either although the battery life isn't as good as many other phones especially the Pixel. I keep my phones for 2 yes min too... After 3 months my battery has been great thus far.

I'll be keeping my S9 but if the rumored pixel 3 is true I may get one as well... I like how it looks but am not a fan of notches so no go on the XL for me. Why keep the chin if you go with a notch on the XL??? Makes zero sense to me. I like smaller phones regardless and wouldn't get an XL anyway and is why I went with the S9 and not the plus. Would defo get the pixel 3 if they decided to add a headphone jack and wireless charging(which is doubtful) but still may anyway.

Not a notch fan, and don't get why the need to copy Apple either, but I'd not want the bigger XL anyway so I'd be ok. But?
Not enough of an upgrade IMHO to get me to ditch my current P2. Gonna save my cash for the P4.
