My wife's Pixel 3 has started popping up the reboot menu (emergency, lockdown, restart, shutdown) as if the power button is being pressed.
The protective case was removed the phone is still doing it. Is the power button somehow stuck just enough to initiate the popup menu or something with Android 12?
There is some article on AC about Pixel phones dialing emergency services but this phone has been fine until now...

Try swabbing around the Power button with 99% rubbing alcohol, in case there's some residue there that's causing it to stick. If that doesn't work, then see if you can boot into Safe Mode: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/2852139?hl=en

If the same thing happens in Safe Mode, then it's either a hardware issue (maybe with the Power button) or firmware corruption. You may need to bring it to a repair shop to investigate the Power button further.

Thank you. I went into Safe Mode, stayed there for 10-15 minutes and the phone wasn't having its tantrums like before: no popup menu and no random reboots.
Then I restarted the phone back to normal operation and so far, 4 hours, the phone is working fine.

That's good to hear. It still suggests something you installed might have been glitching, and going into Safe Mode quieted it down. If the app restarts at some point and the same glitchy situation happens, it might start causing issues again, so keep an eye out for that.

It started doing the random reboots again :(
Spotify was the app, my guess, that may've caused the glitches (removed it) and still phone's rebooting. Now even in Safe Mode, without the phone case, is rebooting...we may try a factory reset, if the phone will allow us to make sure everything's backed up, and see if this is an Android 12 issue or hardware
