Pixel 3 - some apps not loading photos from camera roll

Hey there,

I'm having problems with specific apps (Instagram and Snapchat) on my pixel 3 not loading newer photos. Wondering if anyone's run into this or has a solution. A few things I've tried are:

- clear cache and storage data for the apps

- clear cache and storage data for Google play services and photos app

- double checked app permissions for the two apps

- uninstalled and reinstalled the app

My work around right now is to copy the images to another album/directory to access it that way which is a bit convoluted.

Other apps like messenger, messages and Facebook will load up the newer photos.
