Pixel 3 whose switching?

My note 9 hovers around there without any apps running. That’s just the os taking up all that space. Much different in a pixel. Can’t really compare the two.

Odd I'm looking at my Note 9 right now and its only using 2.3GB of 6GB RAM.
You have more running in the background than you think.

Truth. Pixel storage works very well. Love the feature to remove pictures and video via the Google Photos app. Nearly 50% storage available.

I'm not switching but my daughter and her husband are getting Pixel 3s at my recommendation.

I am not sure you understand how RAM works on Android.

I'm glad I dont have to make excuses for my phone.

Its funny to hear things like: "Why would you need that much storage or ram", "Why would you need a pen", "Why do you need a headphone jack", "Why cant you just forget about the notch", "Why would you need removable storage", etc..........

How about "Why not have it all and never have to ask yourself any of those questions?"

I understand perfectly.

And even if you want to argue about the RAM actual phone storage is still another argument.

Plus it goes back to my original statement of why even have to ask the question of if you have enough?

I'd rather have a phone with enough already or the option to add more vs make sacrifices.

Storage? Yep! No worries at all on my P2XL

Everyone's needs are different. I personally haven't used much in past year on my Note 8 and I haven't been trying to watch storage. I think most people are about apps now and don't carry a ton of music or videos locally when you have streaming.

Im not one to use the cloud for pic storage but if Google is giving pixel owners unlimited cloud storage for pics and you're OK with using it then most people won't have an issue with 64 or 128 either. But 64 is sounding lame for base storage on a flagship and they should go 128 next year.

I have 2gb of pics in last year but my wife filled up her 128gb iPhone 6+ with pics since she got it new and now she has her X with even more space and daughter can fill up hers as well too. I still have my 128gb SD from the Samsung promotion I haven't opened yet if I ever need more.

I guess it differs from person to person. I've used more than 140gb on my note 9

The pixel 3 xl ram management is absolutely trash. Just saw a speed test vs the Note 9 and it was terrible. It reminds me of the Galaxy S6 and how it got so much heat from all the reviewers. But now that the pixel has barely 4GB of ram and can't keep an app open in the background, not a word about it. I guess it's ok now...

Where at? Unless it was the one with the Exynos CPU, I'm more interest in testing the superior 845.

I am happy with my Note 9. For folks considering switching, the camera and the updates are the thing, right?. The Note 9 camera seems good. But my Pixel 2 XL's is better still, and I am sure the Pixel 3's will be even better still.

If you need the best camera, it ain't the Note 9 IMO (which has a very good one). It's the Pixels' camera. If you want updates, again, Pixels are the way to go.

I'm sticking with my Note 9, but I can see valid reasons to switch for sure. Plus I would foresee the notch bothering me for about 2 days, then I wouldn't care.

Well, i came from pixel 2XL. Other than the next Android version, the only updates you get are the security patches, and nothing else. Yeah, you get updated to google apps, but then if your phone is compatible with those aps, there is always apk download available. Camera would be slightly better on pix 3, i haven't tried notes camera yet in a week.
