Pixel 3 whose switching?

The way Samsung has blocked use of higher frame rates for 3rd party apps on video has me considering it. On filmic pro, open camera, and movi, the max frame rate is 30fps. While stock video frame rates are much higher, the stock video camera is otherwise very limiting.

Hmm let me see switch for a phone with the biggest tallest ugliest notch ever conceived that has no expandable storage or headphone jack and no pen?

OR

Keep what I am already happy with?

Tough call :D

Lol, yeah why would anyone? Ugly as hell, less of everything and problematic.

"My Note 9 is still on 1 Aug patch... at least 3 to 4 updates behind others. Not sure how they managed their software updates seriously"

Wow, that is bad, it must be your carrier. My unlocked Exynos Note 9 is on the October security update, and has had two other updates over the last week, one a sizeable camera update and another smaller system update. It is so frustrating when carriers can't get their act together.

I go to the Google Play Store to check out the Pixel 3 every few days and it's always a few things that stop me from buying.

There's no SD card slot
Only 4 GB ram and some of that 4GB is reserved for the GPU
That notch
That price
Less features then my Note 9
No themes

Also, from what I understand, you can't remove that search bar just by deleting it like you can other widgets. First thing I do on any Android phone is to delete the search bar. On the Pixel, you have to use another launcher to get rid of the search bar.

It was removable when I last had a Google phone, the Nexus 4.

I could probably handle the price Ok if it wasn't for the other things in my list above.

That to me is the problem with google and the Pixel. They seem to be just copying Apple but for no real reason.

4GB of ram? You aren’t as optimized as the iPhones.
Notch? But no facial unlock up there to warrant it?
And that price tag? Come on...
