Pixel 3 Won't Charge After Complete Battery Discharge

Wife let her phone completely discharge and now it won't charge. Both the wall charger and Pixel Stand do nothing. Anyone heard of this?
Disclosure: phone had been dropped and had cracked screen but phone functioned perfectly since full discharge.

Leave it connected to a charger overnight and see if it sparks into life. Reading the first paragraph of your msg and my immediate thoughts were dead battery, however, it is possible the drop caused further damage. Unless the overnight charge revives it, a trip to a repair shop is on the cards

And gently remind your wife to avoid letting her devices drain to zero. Doing that a few times will significantly shorten the overall battery life.
