Does anybody know anything about SIM cards yet, I know with the pixel and pixel 2 I had to get a new SIM card, I'm wondering if I'll have to get a new SIM card for the pixel 3 than what I have in my pixel 2, I'm on Sprint

You should be able to simply use the old SIM

Not on Sprint, I've gone from Nexus 6p to pixel to pixel 2 and had to get a different Sim every time.

Then if you've already had that experience it's probably be the same. Is it difficult for them to give you a new one?

It's difficult to get the right one that's the whole point of me posting this so if anybody out there is on Sprint and knows anything about the Sim situation yet can you please respond

Have you called Telesales 866-2751411. For the 2XL they mailed a free one to me last year. If you go to Corp. store with phone they will give you one. YMMV with Sprint however.

Last year Sprint added security features to their Sim cards so it's a possibility the P2 sim may still work.

I called Sprint already they have no new sim cards for the pixel 3 yet mine gets delivered between the 22nd and 24th I believe so if I don't have info by then I will try the SIM from my pixel 2 if it works great if not I'll go to a Sprint store see if they can help, they're usually clueless also.

The problem with Sprint is that the phone itself needs to be registered with them. Supposedly it can be done online with the IMEI and Sprint supplied SIM in the phone, but my results with this were poor. Usually had to go through Telesales, and the quality of that totally depends on the expertise of the CSR. And there are not many qualified CSR's from my experience.

I just called Telesales. They said Order Support is who I need to contact, I'm pretty sure that's where ended up for my P2 XL sim card last year.

Just got off the phone with Sprint, they finally admitted they can send SIMs out for the pixel 3/3xl without the IMEI - however they claim to be completely sold out of SIM cards! Just such a sprint thing to do. Then the csr says they can't search local store inventories so to go sit and wait at a store for an hour for the privilege of asking then if they have a sim card.
Likely taking my unlocked phone to t mobile.

It took me three wrong SIM cards last year and a lot of fighting. One day I was transferred 15 times between different departments.

It's a crap shoot bringing your own device to Sprint. If you find a knowledgeable CSR/Tech Support person, then it's somewhat painless. Find anything else and you'll be on the phone for hours.

It will never be as easy as dropping your old GSM SIM into a new phone, or swapping an AT&T SIM for a TMo SIM. That's one reason I'm wary of eSIms. Don't want to have to call CS when I change phones or carriers.

I went from the Nexus 6P to the Pixel XL with the same SIM.. I wonder if I can use it with the Pixel 3XL. I guess I'll find out today.

It should be a transparent transfer. Pop the SIM in and you're up and running.

I just ordered a new SIM from Sprint. They checked and told me that the SIM on my current original Pixel will not work on the Pixel 3XL, so they are sending me a new SIM. SKU: 760492044714.

I just don't know why my current sim won't work on the new pixel. I will try this afternoon, and if not, I'll just wait for my new SIM.

Just try the Sim you have now, it might work. I usually just go through the online too they have to change phones. You have to put the IMME number and then it asks if your are using a SIM you already have. Input the SIM and it should transfer. I've done it before and it works, if you get stuck just go through the online chat and they can do it. If not then yeah, we need a new SIM card.
