I recently purchased a Pixel 3a XL and notice that the fingerprint reader kept having problems reading my finger. The problem appear to be intermittent, but I think I figure out the cause. The phone has problems with moisture, so if I take a shower and try to use the fingerprint, it will fail even though I dried my hands, otherwise it does work ok. Under ideal conditions, it occasionally failed to detected my print on the first try. I notice it is much worse than my old phone (A Honor 8x), which never fails to detect a fingerprint unless the finger is wet.
What are your experience with the Pixel 3a XL fingerprint reader? Did I get a phone that's defective or is the reader simply not great?
