Pixel 3's Black Friday Sale

Looks like there will be Pixel 3 discounts on Google store and they look impressive.

https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/11/14/google-store-black-friday-cyber-monday-deals-pixel-3/

Pre-Black Friday and on the day itself, Google tells us it is offering the following (pretty impressive) Pixel 3 discounts:

Buy one Pixel 3 or 3 XL and get the second phone for up to 50 percent off (November 16th to 21st).
$150 discount on the Pixel 3, $200 discount on the Pixel 3 XL (November 22nd to 25th).

The above Black Friday deal brings the $799 64GB Pixel 3 to $649, and the $899 64GB Pixel 3 XL to $699.

On Cyber Monday (November 26th), a few more offers open up on the Google Store, just for the day. The deals include:

Buy a Pixel 3/3 XL and get a Home Hub ($149 regular price) for free, plus a $50 Google Store credit.
Save $60 on the Daydream View.
Save $20 on a My Case purchase.
Buy two Google Home Max speakers and save $150.
Save $129 on a bundle of the Google Home Hub, Google Home and Wifi 3-pack.

If Best Buy does an instant 200 off I will probably jump. Won't do it if it's a bill credit.

Sucks not being able to get Pixel protect or whatever it is these days though.

Who's had experience with a 3rd party one like square trade? I'd rather not go through Verizon for insurance
Best Buy gave me a 200.00 credit on a Unlocked Note 9.
And applied the 200.00 toward the bill.
The person in the store said it was a store credit.
I said I want to apply it toward the phone.
They had to look it up.
Don't think everybody in the store is trained on what all is what.

Looks like Google is matching the deal. I'd rather buy directly from them anyway

Won't pay monthly for insurance on a phone.

Best Buy has a Geek Squad
I will pay them to repair it.

...64GB Pixel 3 XL to $699.

Hmm, the 4GB/64GB P3XL for $699+tax or the 8GB/128GB OP6T for $579?

Don't care about camera, can live without wireless charging, the OP6T UI & options and battery are vastly superior, don't want to reward Google's horrible hardware design and management team, don't want to patronize overpriced flagships (tho $699 is the fair & correct price for the 3XL), do want to support high quality, fairly priced device makers etc. Everything screams OP6T...

...and yet if it wasn't for the 3XL's horrible app killing memory management I'd probably pull the trigger on this deal for the better screen and relative safety of Google support, updates etc. Decisions, decisions... (yes, I'm probably going to break down and buy one of these.)

Do you want my suggestion? Lol

If you don't care about the camera, and especially if you don't care about listening to music while using the camera, in all probability you aren't going to see any "horrible app killing memory management". I use the camera a lot and I've never seen a problem. Besides, Google has committed to fixing the problem anyway. Buy it and I'll bet you'll be as pleased as I am!

More concerned about the general killing apps from memory so they have to be refreshed/reopened from storage. Unlike the camera/music issue, which is an OS error, killing apps from memory is an affirmative OS design.

Lol. Friendly disagreements are fine. It's all good.

(Sorry, I caused a diversion - let's stop and keep this thread on topic.)

I agree the pixel shouldn't be high price wise as Samsung or Apple
750.00 pixel 3 xl 650.00 3 start point
My reason is they are not established only 3rd version while other been in big leagues for 10 version and earn that right ...don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's ok for them either but this would be fair for pixel at this point . I paid 980.00 for my 3xl with tax it has no business in that class yet, not being their 3rd phone .. but I love Google even they killed the Nexus line which I understand but when u sell phones at the rate the other 2 have then your game . I bought the device because I like where Google going and want to be with them down the road. Will I get the 4th definitely but not without me crying about the price lol

Agree, we all buy Pixels for the software. I'm a software junkie and like having the latest releases.

I have a number of apps running, tabs open in Chrome, and am constantly playing music. Usually stored locally. I have yet to run into a memory issue. I take a ton of photos and with everthing running have not encountered an issue.
