Pixel 3's Black Friday Sale

I agree the pixel shouldn't be high price wise as Samsung or Apple
750.00 pixel 3 xl 650.00 3 start point
My reason is they are not established only 3rd version while other been in big leagues for 10 version and earn that right ...don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's ok for them either but this would be fair for pixel at this point . I paid 980.00 for my 3xl with tax it has no business in that class yet, not being their 3rd phone .. but I love Google even they killed the Nexus line which I understand but when u sell phones at the rate the other 2 have then your game . I bought the device because I like where Google going and want to be with them down the road. Will I get the 4th definitely but not without me crying about the price lol

I think the Pixle 3/3 XL is over priced. That said to me it is worth a premium of the Samsung crap. I used to be a big Galaxy fan but got tired of the BS, bloatware, lack of support, etc. I would happily pay an extra $100 over the price Samsung charges to have about any other product.

Hey you gotta get what you want that's all that counts in the end ..

Will the 4XL be 5g? we know it will have 6 or 8 gb of RAM and come standard with 128 gb of storage.

I'm not sure if it will have a notch or not.

I really think it will, but who knows. From a product and marketing standpoint I'm sure they have some idea what they will change.

You would think with all the pressure from the side of the room that wants more RAM they would probably go that route. I hope they do in many respects.

I agree. Some of my response was based on how P2 XL "Screengate" played out and how this go around they made sure there wouldn't be talk about screen quality. I could see next year being about memory and more base storage and maybe some slight battery increase.

You are wrong. At this point we don't know ****. It is pure conjecture what the phone will have. Sure it migh be an educated guess but it is still a guess.

The other phone he's looking at. I can usually tell when someone won't like the Pixel.

The sad thing is, believe it or not, I really do want to love it. I was set to buy the 2XL and then Google crapped the bed with the display. Then I was all set to buy the 3XL until their design team followed up by hitting the iPhone X with the ugly stick to crap out this Lurch and Frankenstein had a baby looking thing. Google's software team deserves better than this.

We are all different but I never had issues with display quality on the 2XL. I do find that the 3XL is better but if I had to go backwards I would be OK. I also don't have issues with the notch and in most cases I have to "look" to notice it. I see a trend here on AC of people that had their doubts and they have completely adjusted.
I'm using it without the notch disabled because I didn't want to push down the notifications.
I tried Nacho Notch but didn't like the rounded corners below the notifications. There is another 3rd party app the squares it off but again I'm good with the notch. I do understand how some might not be able to unsee it.

Looks like there will be Pixel 3 discounts on Google store and they look impressive.

https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/11/14/google-store-black-friday-cyber-monday-deals-pixel-3/

Pre-Black Friday and on the day itself, Google tells us it is offering the following (pretty impressive) Pixel 3 discounts:

Buy one Pixel 3 or 3 XL and get the second phone for up to 50 percent off (November 16th to 21st).
$150 discount on the Pixel 3, $200 discount on the Pixel 3 XL (November 22nd to 25th).

The above Black Friday deal brings the $799 64GB Pixel 3 to $649, and the $899 64GB Pixel 3 XL to $699.

On Cyber Monday (November 26th), a few more offers open up on the Google Store, just for the day. The deals include:

Buy a Pixel 3/3 XL and get a Home Hub ($149 regular price) for free, plus a $50 Google Store credit.
Save $60 on the Daydream View.
Save $20 on a My Case purchase.
Buy two Google Home Max speakers and save $150.
Save $129 on a bundle of the Google Home Hub, Google Home and Wifi 3-pack.

Now those are fair prices for the pixel 3's....... anybody who wants one should definitely pick one up now. I have other black Friday purchases that are more important to me or I'd pick one up myself. I'm still going to wait until the 2's drop a ton in price next year or maybe even wait till the 3's come way down after the 4 is released. If you don't mind being a model or 2 behind you can save a ridiculous amount of money :-)

It's even better with pixels because a lot of the software improvements filter down to the older phones ;-)

With the Black Friday deal I'm finally back to considering the 3 XL again, BUT I'm just not sure I can get over the the awful audio recording for videos.

Quick question. Unless Verizon drops some sort of incredible deal, I'll probably pick up a 3xl. When I'm on Google's site, I should get the unlocked one, correct? There's no point to get the Verizon one from Google, is there? Wasn't sure if I was missing something here...

Think Redneck Mike Dee said the Verizon model has a locked bootloader.
And Verizon apps that you probably can't uninstall.
You can always download any Verizon apps you may want from the Play store.

Correct....the Verizon model might allow to go through Verizon for repair exchanges as an option but double check. I know you can add their extended warranty if that's a consideration.

Why am I a redneck? I live near New York City and work in Manhattan.
You can uninstall the Verizon apps.

Thanks! I kinda thought that, but wanted to be sure. I have a Verizon SIM in my Moto Z Play, so I'm assuming it will work with the new phone. I'll probably just add Google's coverage since it covers 2 years. By that time, I'm assuming 5g will be more common, so I'll probably update around then anyway.
