Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL Discontinued?

I do know that, but google would be foolish to not monitor this site. So, I am hoping to A) prevent anyone from making the same mistake I did as this is not an isolated incident(from extensive research on the web) and B) hopefully google will see it and fix the problem or C) maybe someone on here has a fix for it, but I truly doubt there is one as it appears to be something actually built into the phone(not sure if it is hardware or software, but the recent android update did not fix it).
Google or other Manufacturer might not even know this forum exist.

Pixel 4 XL in 128GB hasn't been in stock on Verizon's website for a couple of months nor has it been available in any of the Verizon stores in Minneapolis/St. Paul for months.

Crappy US carriers not stocking/discontinuing phones, what else is new

It's been available on Google store forever and still you can buy there. And yeah I know people like to buy from crappy carriers for million reasons (I don't agree on any ). It's available on Google store if someone really wants to buy and which is the better place to buy anyway IMO.

Actually, I just checked the Google Store for the Pixel 4XL 128gb, and it says "Out of Stock."

In any event, it lists the price as $999, which IMO is clearly excessive. I would not consider paying more than $650 for a device that will soon be displaced by a newer model. (It's probably just as well that I wait, because my P2XL still works just fine, including the battery life.)

Yeah the white shows out of stock but black 128GB XL is still available. And i agree wouldn’t pay $999 especially at this point for 4 XL.

TMobile had the 64gb version for $600 for a while, but it's not in their website anymore.

Here in Canada Rogers has been out of stock for a while now. My options are becoming limited to replace my 2XL. If the Pixel 5 isn't an XL my backup was going to be the 4XL or the Samsung s10+. I prefer the Pixel over the Samsung though. Ugh.

I know from experience Verizon will discontinue a phone and quit stocking it before a new model comes out but that doesn't mean the manufacturer discontinued it.

They do this because of the slim margins on phones, when the new model comes the old gets sold at a discount, some times at a loss to the store.

My best guess sales person told you that simply because their store quit stocking it.

Same story with Telus on the business side at least. Not available online, and my rep told me they are totally out across the country.
