Pixel 4a 5G to be discontinued?

This surprises me, except that the upcoming 5a appears to be almost a clone of the 4a 5G. With a launch date in November, this is barely lasting 6 months.

It is such an amazing phone. I actually love it better than my 2xl and I adored that phone. The battery life, the size, the cameras. It is the best bang for buck.

I agree. It's such an improvement over my 3a XL. I had that phone about 2 years, but when I got a special deal for the 4a 5G from my carrier, it was a no brainer. After I sold the old phone it was a net outlay of $200. Battery life is amazing, and I'm getting 5G in areas I thought I never would (T-Mobile variety). Plus having double the storage means I don't have to worry about teaching my limit.

Well the 4A 5G was released rather late last year so maybe Google just wants to get back on track with the A line release dates. I miss having a big device as I have large hands but I have to say I love how the regular 4A just fits in my pocket without any issues. Now I'm going to miss the compact phones. It seems Google is going for big sizes going forward?
