What do you think the Pixel 5 will have? What would you like it to have?

Personally I'd be happy if they just added a.bigger battery. I like my 4xl. The design is kind of boring but it's been okay.

Would be nice if they added more color choices, and didn't do limited edition colors.

All rumors point to the SD765 chip rather than the more expensive 865 chip so hopefully it will come in at lower price point.

I'm hoping they don't put the SD765 and instead go all in with SD 865. They will have the 4a for the mid range pricing anyway so they shouldn't worry about price and just try to make the best phone possible. I think the 4 XL was great overall, add the 120 Hz refresh rate, third wide angle camera and put the biggest battery you can. Battery size is always a complaint on the Pixel phones. Probably will come with 5G as well. And one more thing concentrate on improving the video performance and compete with other flagships in terms on video.

Sigh, where would I start?

Basically it should have flagship specs for the money they charge.

Mediocre specs with fantastic camera software at flagship prices is the pixel M.O.

So , from the 4XL ( still £930 for the 128 ), well everything. Bigger battery, faster charge, ditch the soli nonsense, bigger faster storage, improved larger screen, yada yada.

( I have had the OG, 3XL and 4XL to **** about with )

Camera aside there is usually very little to justify there price. Let's hope they finally get it right.

Almost forgot that it is one of the very few " international" phones. I hope they continue with the esim.

I loved the look and design of the Pixel 4 series. You're right, a bigger battery would be nice. Oh, and definitely an in-display fingerprint sensor, or a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Nice?

I think it would be mandatory!
My pixel 4xl with 3700mah is getting exactly same as my One Plus 7 pro with 4000mah battery life . If they can can do 4000mah and 3500mah for smaller one be good .

Here's the problem with the battery to display ratio with the Pixel 4 and 4XL:

The battery in the 4 is far smaller than the battery in the 4XL compared to the display being barely smaller.

According to GSMArena:

Pixel 4: 5.7" display - 2800mAh battery

P4 XL: 6.3" display - 3700mAh battery

So the difference in display size is only 0.6 of an inch, meaning the XL's is just 10% bigger. but the battery sizes are a whopping 900mAh apart, which translates to a 32% jump!

That is completely disproportional!

If we remove 10% of the battery size from the 4XL, we get 3330mAh, which seems to be what the standard 4 would have needed in order to achieve the same endurance results, since everything else is exactly the same between the two devices.

Yeah I agree the pixel 4 should of came with battery at least 3200mah

Not to mention that 2800mAh which is average at best (and that's assuming using 60Hz refresh rate) probably quickly becomes 2300mAh after 6 months, especially if very quick charging methods are used along with bad charging habits.

While a phone that has above average battery life when new would still have acceptable battery life after 1.5 - 2 years.

If Google had offered a nice slim and grippy battery case which added just another 1000mAh, that would be enough to make the device serviceable.

im not into battery cases , but understand your point.

Not much kept me away from the P4XL. I'd love to see a bigger battery (but not betting on it since that's never been a priority for them). If they go with glass backs again, I'd love for the black option to be frosted or matte. I hope to God that they don't use that U-shaped camera module we've seen leaked, as it looks terrible in my opinion. I was ok with the square module on the 4.
Other than that, they can keep the Soli module, I'd be open to it, but perhaps a in-display FPS, too? And at least maintain 90Hz.

We shall see.

Pretty much agree with all these points, but I think 3700mAh on the 4 XL was respectable enough, at least if using on 60Hz.

Maybe a more symmetrical top to bottom bezel next time around?

Very awkward to have that huge forehead and no chin.

4 XL at 90hz runs great on battery for me

We shall see if this 5 has something up it's sleeve ...but I'm not talking for buying on release date ...bargain hunting only ..
