Pixel 6 & 6 Pro screen protectors

I may try applying an oleophobic spray, as otherwise the product would be a 10 /10.

Would this spray work on film TPU screen protectors? If so, do you have a link?

Just curious as well - did you try it on the glass protector?

Thanks!

Whitestone is on sale for 34.99 on their site. Ordered one since no-name glass I ordered from Amazon is a smudge magnet. Doesn't help that my hands are constantly chewed up/dry from work but the smudges/grease this one acquires is crazy. I am constantly wiping my screen.

Here is the Whitestone. 34.99 and Capitol One shopping extension put in a code for Thankyou21 took another $6.99 off

What's it like if you have to remove the whitestone glass protector? Does it come off easily?

I worry about those protector from other companies that use glue other than Dome

I bought the Dome. Very nervous about installation. I tried Dome on a phone a lonnnng time ago and I remember completely falling on the install. Might be my less than steady hands. I am going to channel all of the success mentioned here.

Watch a few YouTube videos
Main thing is glue once dispense on screen keep it to the middle on end of the glass will be down in the craddle the other will be slightly up until u pull the pin out after the glue is center and watch it spread evenly for few minutes if any parts are not covered tilt the craddle slightly in that direction until it is full spread on the screen protector..cure top/middle/bottom 15 seconds 3 times with light , then 60 seconds 3 times with light then you can handle the device

Dome installed! I had to come and celebrate!

First, the glue dropped into a large round puddle as expected then a smaller drip to the side. I decided not to worry about that. Eased the puddle toward the center. Dropped the glass but OH NO! A bubble appeared right near the middle as the glue spread. I coaxed it to the edge. Then finished the installation. Seems like I did it!

So much better than TPU screen protectors. I've gone through almost 2 boxes of them.

For future reference, if I had left that bubble in the middle and waited, would it have disappeared? I didn't notice any dust.

Awesome

When the bubble goes in the middle and u see one part separate from the other glue just tilt the tray until all of it becomes one bubble

I should have done that. Luckily the main "puddle" just absorbed it when I dropped the glass. The problem was the bubble right in the middle after the glue spread. I nudged it slowly with a cloth. It seems to have worked.

Thanks for the tips too!

Welcome , dont use cloth when fixing the bubble it can have little dirt and create a bubble but now you know and gain more experience.

I've had the Whitestone dome on for a couple of days and I am finding I really have to press hard on the fingerprint sensor OR just hold my thumb on the FPS with normal pressure for roughly 2-3x the amount of time I have in the past. I did try ere-enrolling and doing my thumb twice (twice). Screen is set to extra sensitivity. Sometimes it doesn't accept my print at all.

I think I was used to a pretty snappy FPS. Is this just the way it is with the dome? I'll put up with it because... the glass version is so nice.

Thanks!

You do the cure 3 times at each duration?
No issues with mine

You see any bubbles?

Do you mean now? Not that I can see. I did have the bubble that I coaxed out during installation but I think it was higher up and I never crossed the FPS. It really seems all good in terms of how it looks but an issue with adhesion seems possible. If it starts to drive me nuts and I can't get used to it, there is the other protector they give you in the box.

So you can softly place your finger on the FPS and it unlocks with just a little pressure?

And… the glue did not release from the cheap protector. Did not even use that much pressure. Replacement will be here in 2 days. Back to 12 pro
