Any thoughts?
The transitions when backing outa apps really quickly is sorta weird now for me and hangs up for a second.

Edit, only does it with the 3 button navigation and not the gesture navigation so far I've noticed anyway.

Not really that different. I did notice some cutouts on Bluetooth with YouTube Music on Pixel Buds A. But I was doing other stuff too it might be related to that.

I'm not seeing a huge difference either. Although to be fair I haven't played with it a ton. We shall see.

Supposedly 12L is geared more towards the foldable phones... it's supposed to help things work better on the split screens that are becoming all the rage lol. I'm sure there'll be benefits for all phones though. The at a glance widget fix and lock screen clock fix are already worth it for some folks from what I'm reading :p

Just buying the Pixel 6 Pro made me a Google Beta Tester... for the first and very last time.

I decided to walk on the wild side and join the 12L Beta with my Pixel 6 Pro. Installing now. Knowing how long this will take I think a nap is in order.

Zero issues with beta...not sure if it is placebo or not but it appears there may have been improvements

I have a question about the beta. I read that if I join and install it will keep my current apps and settings, but if I decide to leave the beta I have to wipe it clean and start over. Is that correct? Then what happens after the beta and the final version comes out? Does the beta end and we are on the same version as everyone else? I just don't want to ever have to wipe everything out and checking to see if you are required to do that at some point.

You can back everything up first on a computer if you ever wanted to opt out, then put everything back on your phone (just like when you transfer from an old Phone to new) . But eventually participants are automatically transitioned to public builds

Just do a backup as suggested, then you can restore it if you do leave early and the phone is factory reset/wiped. It really isn't that bad. I've done factory resets several times on my Pixel 6 Pro and just have to re-enter passwords. Of course that is easy if you let Google remember the passwords. Some people do that to their phones regularly to clean out the gunk.

Yes, if you opt to leave the Beta program before the full release, you will have to factory reset. If you wait until after it updates to the full release, you can then opt out of the overall Beta program before the next cycle begins (i.e. before Android 13 beta starts) and you will just continue on with the normal update cycle. You could then re-enroll in the next beta cycle if you want to. This is what I usually do when they get to the second or third beta release as I only have this phone and don't want to experiment with first beta releases. Note, when you are in the beta program you will not be getting the monthly updates.

Thanks for all the great responses. I'm glad that if you go through the process till the end and everyone has that final release you can then opt out and never have to reset if you don't want to.
