Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro beta

It seems to fast charge quicker now and battery life is way better than before.
Or possibly it's getting to adapt to me better? Not 100% sure, but under an hour from 10% is pretty decent.
God I love this phone!!
Battery is way better. I agree and flawless fps

Only noticeable difference for me is animations/screen transitions seem a little jerky. Haptic is stronger and FPS is more responsive/quicker I think.

Everything has been working great on mine with the exception of when I receive a call. I can't hear the person on the other end even tho they can hear me. I have to end the call and call them back to hear them.

And this is the final beta and is very stable. The stable release will be pushed to Pixel Phones so we will all end up on 12L. My FPS is working much faster and more accurately since the update and my phone just feels smoother and faster. It was fast before but is EVEN faster. Lol.

I updated to the 12L beta, and fingerprint felt slower. I deleted the existing fingerprints and enrolled my prints again and doesn't seem to have improved speed or accuracy.

Only had it installed for a couple of hours so don't know if it's more stable just yet.

Screen animations seem normal to me. I notice now there's a little haptic when you swipe up on the home screen to go to the apps drawer. Haven't noticed much else though.

I think I found a couple of bugs in 12L.

Camera: I turned on a few settings, Raw, Social Depth, and More light. The screen went black and the camera app crashed. Open the app and the same thing happened. Very quickly turned off those settings and all is well. Then one at a time turned each one on camera worked fine. So I can't replicate the problem.
Second bug: I have double tap power button to turn the camera on. That doesn't work. I'm not sure it worked before installing 12L so I can't test it.
Other than those two issues 12L is working just fine.

My P6P is unlocked and on Verizon. Yesterday I tried to use the hotspot. It kept turning off, and there was a message to contact customer support to activate the feature. I'm on an unlimited 5G plan with 15GB of hotspot. Then I was connected to wifi, and for some unknown reason I turned hotspot on and it stayed on. Maybe a bug?

I just installed the beta yesterday on my P6P. My battery has been a toaster for weeks and I was getting to the point where I was going to give up on what looks and feels like a great phone (and I'm a HUGE Pixel line fan and user). Thankfully, the beta has worked flawlessly for me and the phone is running so much cooler now -- and the battery drain appears to be gone. Saved me, hopefully forever, from S22u temptations.

I'm not on the beta yet but after the Feb update I've got zero WiFi. I was gonna just wait for the April update to drop but it sounds like the beta is already pretty stable.

Has anyone else has the WiFi issue and had it fixed from the beta install? And can you still use Google pay. ??????

I just happened to check Developer options/Running services. Any reason why the Camera app should be running continuously. Check the enclosed screen shot. 2.37 hours since a restart shortly before.

Since I posted the above comment, I did a restart on my phone. The camera app has been running in the background for 2 hours and 49 minutes. I just wonder if this has always been the case, and not a Beta issue. Must mean that the camera is instantly available when needed on purpose??

Edit:
I misinterpreted your post. I just checked my Developer Options. It shows similar readings for the Camera. So it must be normal.

Yes. I also posted this question in a new thread in the 6/6 Pro forum. Mustang7757 indicated that this is probably because Location is enabled in the Camera app. His Camera app was running in the background too and had Location enabled. Location is enabled in mine. I'm guessing the same for you. So, thank you Smokeaire01 for your answer. Now we both know.

You are correct, my location is always on plus I have "Save Location" on in the Camera settings. That may be the setting that determines that reading. Interesting find @kmf1

Any predictions as to whether there will be another beta L update?
