Interesting. I've tried using the secure setting and didn't even realize it displays your full email address. I agree that it's personal information and should be hidden. I'm going to enable it again and test it for myself i haven't used it in a long time since I spend most of my time home/ working from home these daysI downloaded and installed it.
Google still don't seem to have a solution for sensitive information being displayed on the lockscreen. On Samsung, you can select to just show your notification icons on the lockscreen. On the Pixel, if you have 'don't show sensitive information ' selected, it still shows your email address on the lock screen for certain notifications such as Gmail.
Call me crazy, but I consider my email address sensitive information that I wouldn't want easily visible on a *lock screen* of a phone.
It's not possible to just show the notification icons you received, but not show sensitive information like your email address. No idea why Google hasn't changed this or offered more options for privacy.

I just tested it and indeed does show the email address that's nuts. Maybe we should submit a feedback/feature request.
