Pixel 6/Pro Ordered....

So I've noticed a lot on here are going for the Pro version of the phone. I'm actually surprised so out of curiosity, why did you choose the pro over the regular? Do you feel the extra $300 is worth the upgrades?

I initially went for the pro but felt the phones were so similar I rather save the $300. I also prefer the flat screen, smaller size, and the more playful colors offered for the regular 6.

I was only really considering the Pro because of the bigger screen, while keeping the phone size close to my pixel 3XL. As I get older I appreciate the bigger screens more :p But the fact that the Pro costs half again as much as the regular 6, for slight differences, makes me feel like I would be getting gouged if I pay the extra money :eek:

The regular 6 is a crazy good deal considering the prices of phones anymore. It's priced where phones of it's caliber should be :D

I went for the pro because stainless steel body and telephoto
 
So everything was intermittently going out of stock yesterday on the Canadian store due to the errors but I found that post 3:30pm the store was working better. I was actually able to order twice without error (fixed an erroneous order and then cancelled the original). The site was so stable after that initial rush that my buddy who just sat back all day and waited for me to successfully order, just went in and ordered himself the Pixel 6+ buds in like 3 minutes flat. Sort of ticked me off lol

Wow! Thank you so much for telling me! Maybe I'll go back online today and try to order again! My Pixel 5 screen protector has taken a hit (somehow, I don't know how! :'() so I needed that for sure. Perhaps I'll try again with the Buds.

Oh, no! LOOL that would annoy me too!
 
I'm Canada the delivery date is 10 December now for pixel 6 pro. It's crazy. luckily i was able to order one with delivery date of Nov 1
 
So, I got an order in yesterday at 4:30 ET for a Sorta Sunny 128gb and it said a delivery date of 10/28. Checked this morning and now delivery date is pushed back to January 12.
Weird thing is now I can order the same model with a delivery date in December? What gives? Getting ready to ditch the Google store and get one right though the carrier.

Tuesday during all the fiasco I was ordering a p6. Got to checkout and it said delivery November 18. I emptied my cart, then refilled cart with the same item. Got to checkout and it said delivery October 29. WIERD.

I'm in Canada too and I still see Oct 26-27 as delivery date. When did you order?

Mainly for the screen and camera. I also plan on using this as my main phone for minimum 3 years if not 4 so I didn't mind shelling out more. Hopefully it holds up.

I really want to trade my P5 in though. Only way I see is to order a new one and do the trade on that now that the site is working. Unfortunately, that one will arrive December 29-30. Can I keep my current order that is arriving next week and get the trade in on that based on the other order even if I cancel the other order when I get the trade in package? I cant reach any customer service as they say its too busy.

Probably not , they will treat it as two separate orders but try to get through to them .
 
I ordered on Oct 19. Couldn't get it right away. But somewhere around 4PM EST. To be delivered on Nov 1.

Now you're making me nervous, got mine just before 4pm, can't believe there would be that big a difference for 10-15 min of ordering.

I don't think you need to worry. Google store was completely out of whack that day. So I won't take any of these dates as final. We should all get it sometime that week

I hope you are right, but I don't have that much faith. I am planning on seeing my 6 pro on 11/20.
 
You can still order the buds if you ordered the phone without them and still get the discount, I did. I spoke to customer service and they said I just have to notify them when I get the phone and they will apply the promotion. Call Google and confirm this.

Thanks for the heads up. I chatted w/support, they sent me an email to reply to after I buy the Pixel A Buds, and they'll issue a refund. They also gave me $10 credit on my Google acct for being patient yesterday and today. :)

What did you use to get in touch with support? When I tried it said the site was unavailable for assistance.

I pulled up my order online and clicked "contact us", filled out some info, and eventually got into the chat queue as the 50th person. Took about 30 minutes 'till I got someone.

First several attempts, it said they were too busy and to try again later. I just kept trying over and over again. I had a lot of practice from yesterday trying to order the phone.
 
Man, I was so frantic with my pre order and Google's site being a mess I wasn't even aware that they were offering free Pixel buds So, thanks for this thread

Just went to the Google Store and saw this:

^^ I was aware of the promo, but I was so worried about my chosen phone configuration going out of stock again or getting removed from my cart again, or the delivery date getting pushed, or the thing crashing again, I just wanted to get my phone order in ASAP.
