Pixel 6 Problem Apps

Just received and setup my Pixel 6 Pro. I know that we are in new territory with Tensor and Android 12, so I thought that I would start a thread with Apps that aren't working, and possible solutions or workarounds.

I'll start...

Starbucks App - installs fine but errors on signin with "A system error has occurred. Please try again later."
>>Update - Had a Carrier Services update in Play Store. Installed the update and Starbucks App working now

Wells Fargo App - installs fine but errors on signin with “We don’t recognize your username and/or password. Please try again or visit Username/Password help”

>> Update - Received the following from Wells Fargo, and the App is working now.
The issue impacting your Wells Fargo Online service, Technical Case number xxxxxxxx, has been resolved. Thank you for your patience in this matter while our Technical Support Team worked on a resolution.

I'll come back and edit the post if I come up with a solution

Are you installing these apps fresh, or have they been restored from a backup? Does it help if you clear the app cache/data for them?

I had the problems with the Wells Fargo app last night, but this morning I was able to log in fine. I am not sure what changed, but I would say keep trying. The November security update did install and "optimized" the apps. Perhaps that helped.
 
Starbucks gave me the same error but I waited till it successfully logged in ...Twitter scrolling seems to be janky for me .. Instagram a little off too with scrolling otherwise all others are good ..

Yes, I did clear the app cache/data, completely uninstall both apps and reinstall. The problems persist, and I placed a call to both company support lines to create a support ticket. Agents from both companies were unfamiliar with the Pixel 6 as well as Android 12.

I got the November update last night as well. Just tried clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling the App, and the problem persists.

That's so annoying, considering Google releases developer previews and betas of upcoming Android version upgrades specifically for this reason -- for developers to make sure their apps work!:-\
 
So far the only issues I've had were with the Tidal app and Apple Music, and the problem with Apple Music is probably Verizon's fault. I'm supposed to have a subscription to Apple Music included with my plan, but Apple Music couldn't manage to connect with Verizon to confirm my subscription.

The problem I had with Tidal was that it wouldn't let me sign in with my email and password. So I just signed in with Facebook and all is well. But it was annoying. But then again Tidal's app has been pretty annoying here lately.

Just got an email from Well Fargo and the App is working now. I didn't have to do anything on the phone. I updated my post with the response from Wells Fargo
 
I was able to sign in to starbucks app and redeem the free Mocha Frappuccino as well :D
 
Only issue I had is that a lot of my passwords didnt transfer over from my P5. So I spent most of yesterday creating new logins for a lot of my apps. Biggest issue I have that I posted about in a different thread, is my Gmail account isnt refreshing unless I manually go into it and do it.
 
Weird with the Starbucks app issue people are seeing. I got the Pixel on Tuesday night and every app I used on the iPhone I re set-up on the Pixel 6 Pro including Starbucks was fine, no issues.
