Pixel 7.1.2 update

Re: 7.1.2 update

Alright enrolled in beta, then unenrolled. Went back to 7.1.1. Then was able to get the Verizon OTA that put me on "K". So, should be good now. Guess I need to learn some patient and not be so quick to sideload. Lol

Re: 7.1.2 update

I just hate having to call bank each time to set Android pay back. And my works help desk for the VPN client for work.

Re: 7.1.2 update

Daily driver Pixel on "E" update, spare of VZW "K" - will be watching this forum to see if any great differences pop up over time between the 2 versions. My 1st inclination is to continue sideloading the Google OTA version updates. But, this may be a "drama queen" approach to the whole deal.

My original post I just did the OTA and recieved E on a Verizon Pixel XL 128 on TMobiles network.
I have recently been having issues with MMS messages with just a download option showing and then it never downloads when I click on it.

UPDATE: Never mind my data saver was on. Once I turned that off my MMS messages downloaded and is working again. Either that or something just started to work.

I too will wait and see what other differences / issues may arrise between the two versions.

Re: 7.1.2 update

For me it seems a little bit smoother and battery life is better and signal seems stronger.

I have to agree. Calls sound a little better on Wi-Fi, phone is much smoother, and battery life is definitely better. I guess there were some Verizon network tweaks on K, that E doesn't have. A lot of people on the Google forums are reporting since on K, hollow bar is gone as well. Glad I went to the trouble to get it on the right version.

I'm glad I'm waiting it out here while on Beta! Otherwise I probably would have thrown my phone into the wall by about now

If your still getting hollow bar, I would recommend you jump through the hoops for K. The forums are reporting the end of hollow bar with K.

Pixel XL purchased from Google Store, carrier is Project Fi. Build N2G47E just finished installing.

User on Reddit took apart the different versions of 7.1.2. He says that the K version does have a newer radio than the others. I guess it contains Verizon's hollow bar fix.

Anyone on 7.1.2 Beta get the update from VZW Yet? I really don't want to, but, I'm seriously considering dropping from the beta. Does sideloading "K" work from BETA?

Any changes for the better in terms of signal for those that may have had issues with it before the latest Verizon release?

I believe I read you can side load K from beta.

I sideloaded E from the beta so it should work.

Done! No issues at all.. Not much of a sideloader myself, but, this was pretty easy. I'm [easily] impressed.

Now that's done, I'm sure VZW will release it tomorrow!

I got my phone from Google and I'm on Verizon. I'm beta tester. I still on 7.1.2 March security patch beta. Anyone have news on when will move to stable 7.1.2? Unenrolling from beta wipe the phone?
