Pixel Bluetooth issues

This is the first phone that doesnt connect properly to my vehicle. And I am amazed on how pissed off I am. I have a 2012 Suburban, so it will pair connect then drop the connection. I did various things to try to get it to work but its the same results. Somethings broke.

I'm having the same issue with my 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. I remember having this issue with one other phone, and I can't recall at the moment which one is was. I'm thinking it was my Nexus 6 or 6p. It's frustrating. My iPhone 7 plus connects with no issues and my S7 and S7 edge connects with no issues also. When I had the Note 7 it was fine too. Very mad.

I haven't tried in my Nissan Altima, but it's an aftermarket head unit so it's more than likely fine. I've never had an issue connecting anything to that.

No issues here with my 15 WRX. Had it paired and streaming audio within minutes. Sucks for those having issues!

I have issues with my pixel xl connecting to a Chevy Cruze. Google says they know about the issue with no known resolution

Mine does not work with my 2011 Chevy Silverado or BMW nav 5. Support says they know about it and are working on a fix.

Same issue in my 2012 Silverado. BT connects, then immediately disconnects. Samsung S6 I traded in worked perfectly.

Mine works while paired with my Gear Fit 2. My Note 4 had pairing issues, but the Pixel XL does well steaming music and taking calls. I drive a 2011 E550.

I hope an update come to help folks, and does not mess up the rest of us.

I would imagine, with an issue this widespread on their newest flagship phone, we'll see action from Google pretty quickly.

But can you answer calls directly from the Gear S2? Does that watch support phone calls over Bluetooth?

I can swipe on the gear s2's screen and answer the phone call yes ... Then I just speak over my trucks Bluetooth

Ok. I meant directly from a mic and speaker on the watch. I think the concern might be watches that can actually handle phone calls directly not just allow you to accept or reject an incoming call.

I've been using Android Wear only since August, but I am quite familiar with this issue. I have two Toyota cars paired to my phone, a Huawei watch, and Bluetooth headphones. I had trouble with connections on my 6P as soon as I chose to play the phone's audio over the watch.

If you have Android Wear set up to play audio from the phone and are using stock Android, the phone will not let you connect automatically to another Bluetooth device like a car.

To fix this, you first have to disconnect the phone from the new device. Next you manually select the device you want to connect with the phone from the phone's Bluetooth menu. Once you do, the phone should connect to the new device and disconnect audio from the watch.

You will have to do this each time you want to connect to the other device so long as you have the Android Wear watch set up to play audio.

I'm relieved to hear it should work with Toyota. I have a Lexus (essentially a Toyota), and I also wear a Samsung Gear S2, but I don't have it set up to play audio.

I connect to about 5 different items a day while always connected to my watch with 0 issues. I do have to have my watch not set to accept calls (urbane 2 lte) and there are no issues. What I switch between:
Urbane 2 lte
Chevy volt 2013
Vizio sound bar
UE roll
2012 Hyundai Elantra
Moto buds
Lg tone infimum

Greetings,

Thought I would start a new thread specifically about Bluetooth if anybody is having issues...

In my case I am unable to totally pair my Pixel to my 2016 Honda Pilot infotainment system.

Doesn't the 2016 Pilot support Android Auto? Do you have the same problem if it's connected as an Android Auto device?

I have a 2016 Honda Pilot and have similar issues with the phone's Bluetooth. Media streaming like Pandora works great but can't make nor receive calls through the car's audio system. I had a Note 3 and the phone's Bluetooth worked great to make and receive calls. I hope Google resolves this soon as I rely on Bluetooth a lot to drive safely while picking up calls.

I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado and a Moto 360 2nd Gen and have my Pixel paired with both with no issues.

I doubt it's a problem with the phone. Cars tend to use really outdated Bluetooth. My 2015 uses bt 2. I've had issues with iPhone, wp, Samsung, and 6p. It's probably not the phone.
