Pixel phones selling really well, it's pretty cool!

I'm stoked! Then again, I'm always stoked for a Pixel release.
Well, condescending any better myself! Actually my wife this morning asked once I get my Pixel 3XL paid off from Verizon I'm not going to want a phone payment for the near future... Lol, but when the Pixel 5's are debuted and launched, I'll see what happens!

It's hard to say "no" to Pixel phones, isn't it?

Haha, oh yeah, for sure. Lol. Once you go pixel, you can't. Really go to any other Android phone at all. Lol That's the great things about them: it's all about the s/w tweaking, as it's always been about that.

I only jumped aboard the Pixel 3 because I was going to China and was not going to pay Verizon's exorbitant rates for my two+ weeks. My KeyOne was still working on Verizon but I decided to try something outside of the BB world. I did not really do a ton of study but figured I'd go for one that would definitely work with Google Fi and had sufficient memory. I had Samsung Tablets and folks still complain about what they load, so vanilla Android also had some appeal.

I only wish the battery life was a bit better. But while in China, I was the only one in our group that could easily get my gmail (no hitches at all), Yahoo news and Gmaps worked fine too - locating me at the various locations I checked. I even called the states a few times and when I was distracted in a museum our Chinese leader was able to call and text me on my Seattle phone number.

Good to see a post from you. I remember you from BlackBerry forums. I also moved from BlackBerry to Pixel. It seemed like a no brainer to me as I value regular security updates. The awesome camera was a bonus!

I do miss certain aspects of BB, particularly, their apps.

By the way, speaking of apps and Pixel, is there a Search-Device option or app? I always used the BB Search-device to find a file I knew was on it somewhere. It was quick and I did not need to open a File Manager and then start up a search.

I subscribe to the BB suite of apps and have Device Search.

I used BBs for 7 years, leaving for Android 7 years ago.

I still miss a physical keyboard very much. If BB had done better making the KeyOne and Key2 available on/for Verizon, and had more up to date specs on them, I would have surely gone back. They just couldn't ever get out of their own way.

You getting a kickback from pixel.

I bought one.
A lot of things google should of done.
They didn't do.
Pixel just drags their feet.

It seems to show up as a separate app in my Playstore. See description.

EDIT
I don't recall if I installed it separately or as part of the BB suite of apps.

For the keyboard, there is no OFFICIAL way of getting it. But folks do have it installed on non BB phones.

Interesting. On their site, they don't mention SEARCH

https://www.blackberry.com/us/en/products/blackberry-hub-plus

Can you get the Keyboard OFFICIALLY? I believe that I have it in any event.

Thanks for the info. I might check it out further. I was never a Tasks person, and Notes were not useful off the device. I'm not sure if BB Launcher is better than the Google one - I remember trying other launchers and see no need. But those other app and Device Search - well, that might be sufficient.

I tried the BB launcher but went back to the Pixel launcher. The BB launcher didn't add anything for me.
