February update didn't fix it for me either. I'm pushing for a refund from Google. I don't even use the charger anymore. I've gone back to wired charging.

With multiple people on this thread having the same issue, you certainly should have no problem getting a warranty replacement.
I've used my Pixel Stand (Gen 2) every day for almost 3 months, and I've never seen that message even once. My stand sits beside my computer and my P6Pro conveniently sits on it during the day when I'm working so I pay little attention to it other than to notice that whenever I pick up my phone it says "Charged" on the bottom area.
