No I bought my pixel 3 xl with no intention of returning it , just ran into some issues and Google told me send it back and they'll send a replacement.

It should still work depending on the thickness and assuming it's not metal underneath

I'm assuming the strength of charging is dependent on how close the charging coil within the phone is to the charging coil behind the wall of the plastic holder, and that it is a square function - twice the distance is a drop of strength of four times, three times the distance is drop of strength of nine times - then it might not work very well at all.
The thickness of the faux leather material is measured to be 3.2mm. Not sure if that is a lot or a little compared the other distances.
I'm wondering if others have some experience with using these cases on the charger to learn how much of difference it is making.

I paid 80 for first one at preorder and 32 for the second one. Thats 112 divided by 2 which is 56 each.

I bought the Pixel stand on Thanksgiving at Best Buy when it was on sale.

I just got my Pixel 3 XL yesterday and loving it so far. However I have always been a little apprehensive about wireless charging. I've always worried about the excess heat it makes having a long term negative effect on the battery.

I know a lot of people use wireless charging and swear by it. But something in the back of my mind keeps nagging me not to do it.
