Question Pixel to PC issue

I might be an idiot but trying to hook my Pixel(have tried 4a 5G and 7) to my PC. I seem to either only be able to get it to just charge rapidly or charge slowly but able to transfer file. Is there a reason I can't get to charge rapidly and have it hooked up to my pc to charge files or use it as a webcam? When it is "charging rapidly" the USB Preferences is greyed out. Would appreciate any help!

Welcome to Android Central! I just tested my Pixel 7 Pro on an ASUS Vivobook using a USB-C to USB-C cable, and it continues to charge rapidly even when file transfer is turned on. Have you tried a different USB cable? They're not all created equal.
