Pixel users S10+ thoughts after a day.

Its a nice looking device, played with the S10 and S10+ at the store, use of phone real estate is fantastic, screen is glorious. But its still a Samsung, even with the One UI i cant get past the Samsung trademark of Android. Kudos to those that like it or got one and love it, still prefer my stock android experience.

I'm using both and they each have their advantages. The Pixel isn't really stock Android these days but it's close.

Pixel 3 doesn't have wide angle in the rear camera , but it's a nice feature to have. Advantage they have their own in different ways . But still haven't tested it completely but I tend to favor the pixel camera.

It doesn't have a tele lens either

Day two on the S10+ here and subpar camera will likely lead to me returning the S10+ and keeping my Pixel 3. Simply cannot rely on the S10+ for indoor shots of my kids (and dogs)... Same issue I had with the Note 9, which lead me to returning that. Sad because I really am loving everything else about it! But, at the end of the day the pics I shoot will be around a lot longer than the device I shot them on, so the pics need to be acceptable. And right now the S10+ pics are not cutting it for my needs.

The reason why I also left Note 9 for pixel 3 xl was the camera. Amazing what Google has been able to achieve with their camera.

But that's it. I liked everything else on the Note 9 more.

Well said.

I have the Note 9 and Pixel 3xl. The Note is an amazing phone. The Pixel...an amazing camera. We need an isamgoog phone.

Oh man you're right LOL i just assumed it did, i just checked now and its only on selfie camera...that is a big benefit to have on rear. Noted.

Like I said each have their advantages, but I like how pixel process its picture little more, and video recording goes to s10.

This has been my problem with Samsung cameras for a while now. Indoor shots of the kids, and any picture with movement came out much better on the pixel. I'll not sure if the 10 is any better than the then the 9 plus that i bought, but I'll really hoping Samsung can figure out n their processing software by the time the note 10 comes out.

Welp, packing up the S10+ tonight and back on my Pixel 3. Kept dropping calls/having issues where I could not hear the other party and vice versa in areas of town I never had issues with my Pixel 3 (or other devices for that matter). This coupled with my concerns/issue with indoor pictures ultimately makes me feel the S10+ is not for me.

It’s not better/fixed with the 10. Same issues. Pixel camera is light years better for any moving kids/pets.

I tried a galaxy s10 and sold it 48 hours later. I think the screen is too curved and I was getting accidental presses and I really didn't like the in display finger print sensor. For me the 3 the I always keep going back and forth too is Pixel 3 XL(current device, note 9 and iPhone xs. I would definitely use a note 9 over an s10 plus especially for close to half the price second hand. But I lean towarda none curved displays.

In auto yes.... Cannot beat the Pixel.
I do like that Samsung has manual settings though. It's something I wish Pixel would add.

Maybe you just got bad one. I hear complaints about pixels with drop calls also. I have both the pixel 3XL and the S10 plus and the calls are the same in my area. Very rare for me to get a drop call unless I'm in a fringe area
