Play Store - Connection timed out

When I browse the play store, It often stops loading the page and a bit later I get the message Connection timed out. I dont think its an internet problem because it happens at home and in my dorm as well. Furthermore the internet is fast and stable in both places so I think this shouldnt happen. What can I do? Isnt this a known issue?

Yes, my Google play services is v. 7.3.29 and my Play store is version 5.5.12. What I tried so far is clear cache and restart android. Didnt help
