Play store (no connection retry)

It worked after resetting the time & date - even thou it was correct at that moment....terima kasih. :D

Check your settings and toggle your airplane mode and also your mobile data should be on. Found my son turned off mobile data, even though I was connected to wireless nothing worked until that was turned back on!

Try this one.. Download Android Device ID 1.2.1 Apk | Flash Apk.. i think there is something wrong with your google service framework.. cause mine have the same problem... i tried many solutions, even factory reset.. but nothing to it.. after I tried this the google play start working...(sorry for the bad english)...

Hi Mior,

Your English is fine. :)

I just wondered: when you used the Android Device ID software to reveal the Google Services Framework ID (and various other IDs related to your device), what did you do afterwards to "fix" the Google Services Framework and hence the Play Store?

I have the same problem only mines on my tablet and I don't have air a plane mode PLZ HELP NEED QUICK FEEDBACK ONLY HAVE INTERNET FOR A LITTLE WHILE :) THX

I had the same issue and I just had to fix the time and date. It was way off and the play store will not connect if it is wrong.

Exactly what my problem was! Although, as I last used my tablet 2 months ago, and it was fine, I'm not sure how my date got changed to 1/3/2012 4:33am.. huh....

Data and airplane mode fixes didn't work for me. But backing up to the beginning did.

Opened google play app.
Hit back button until it exited the app.
Re-opened the app and it connected.

I can't set my date manually, is there anyone has the same problem? Thanks.

To everyone complaining about the youtube video fix, google 'sideloading android'. In fact, sideloading isn't even necessary. You can download apps to your phone or tablet OTA from the Play Store by visiting the Play Store website on your computer and choosing to download to your device from there. This fix WORKS. I've had to do it myself a time or two. So seriously, do a little research and stop slamming the poor guy that posted it. BTW, ES File Explore should be an automatic install for everyone with an Android device. It is always one of my first five installs on a new device.

so i've tried everything, and nothing works :( and another big problem i'm having is that 5 out of 10 apk files wont instal :/

Two 100 % working methods-

1. Uninstall Freedom or
2. Keep freedom running in background while opening play store

I have tried both and both work for me.....

I am sure it is the best trick.. specially since the first instruction is to download ES Explorer from play stores... very smart indeed!! If I could download from play store, I would not be on this page:)

Worked great tried almost everything else but you gotta delete the file not edit like others have said. If you haven't got it installed it can be done on a computer and it will be sent and installed on your phone. Hope this helped...

I did follow your instruction except to moving it to my phone thru USB and it worked. Thanks man. You're a lifesaver... i owe you a lot.

Finally found a way to fix the store for me.

**ROOT IS REQUIRED!**

Here is a short fix for the No Connection Error on play store. It may not work on all devices.

1. Download Total Commander from Play Store.
2. Install it in your Device.
3. Open Total Commander and goto Root of System. (/ )
4. Open the etc folder.
5. Find the file named "hosts", and hold it for 3 seconds. Choose edit file, and choose Total Commander Text Editor if prompted.
6. Add ---> " # " <--- before 2nd line like this " #74.125.93.113 android.clients.google.com "
7. Save the file.
8. Reboot your device
9. Add Google Account
10. Done!

I know it says download total commander from the app store but just go to this link since anyone here looking for a solution obviously can't access the play store.
Total Commander - Android

Once you download the apk move it to your phone via usb connection and then go to your phone and use any type of file manager app to access the apk and install it then follow the instructions listed above. This worked for me when everything else failed so i figured i would help anyone else in my situation.

I followed your instructions except to moving it to my phone thru USB. But still it worked. My playstore is back to normal... thanks man. God bless you for helping everyone here.

Ok - I had the Playstore problem and was totally frustrated... The New S4 almost met an early death because it was about to be whipped into the fireplace.

I tried all the options above with no luck... and then I seen the link from "ihategoogleplus" and I read that... was almost ready to give up on it as it was again all the previous suggustions hashed over and over again (albeit well presented and explained).. when I noticed something... Step #5 regarding Proxy... I remember an email I got earlier from Worldofwatches that was not showing the images when I seleted it to do so... I wonder.... My phone has WiFi and LTE turned on (it's an S4) - so I just went in and turned off the Wifi... now with just LTE enabled I went back to Google Play Store and Presto! It was working again. The Problem lied in the WiFi connection...

So I went and re-enabled the Wifi - and Poof - away went my Playstore again... Thrilled I was... it confirmed my theory... ok I went into Settings, Connections, Wi-Fi, and located my house network, selected it and checked it's settings etc... all looked fine. I backed up and selected it and held it for a sec till I got the other menu wich allowed me to modify the network config. tick the "Show advanced settings" box, which shows the one only advanced setting.... Proxy settings LOL... ok you got two options, Manual and None... for some reason mine was set to manual (dunno how that happened) anyway select NONE and save exit etc..

Presto! Google Play working again over Wifi... Blood pressure returning to normal, household residents cautiously returning to the general vicinity... Calm Blue Oceans!

I foolishly assumed that I was connected fine... as speedtest and email was coming in... I neglected to rule out Wi-Fi by disabling it... Lesson Learned :)
