play store not auto updating

Play store will not auto update when set to WiFi only. If I switch it to update at anytime, then it works fine. Anyone else have this or know a fix. Google just gets me results on either how to enable auto updates or ordering from google play.

my impression is that even though you set Google Play on auto update apps - it will still only update the apps at some interval. it's not exactly instant push like Gmail. although i wish it was. perhaps it is done that way to conserve battery life.

This might or might not work, but try resetting app preferences. Settings>Apps>menu>reset app preferences. This sometimes helps with Play issues.

It seems to use intervals. They update in groups IME.
