Play Store Program Updates Problem

After clearing the cache and data, the update(s) will download and install after I go back to the play store and click on update all. When there are more updates, the cache and data need to be cleared again before clicking on update all.

Weird. Can you clarify -- when mustang7757 suggested clearing the cache for Play Store Services, was it Google Play Services that you cleared?

These 2 need clear cache and force stop also uninstall updates try.

It was both Google Play Store and Google Play services. I'll clear both again, uninstall updates, force stop, and see what happens.

Even if it still doesn't work, I really want to thank the two of you for the help and ideas that you have given.

The Google Play services will not allow uninstalling updates.

After these steps (last night), went to the Play Store, had a couple of updates, clicked on update all, and they downloaded and installed. This morning there were a couple more updates, clicked on update all, and they just changed to pending. After clearing the Google Play Store cache and data, went back to updates, clicked on update all and they downloaded and installed. A full wipe of the phone would probably fix this, but I'm not going there, I'd rather just clear the data/cache when I have updates.

It's set for "Over wi-fi only".

You could try use both data and wifi just in case your wifi giving a problem, just a suggestion to try.
Other thing is can erase your Google account and re add it see if that helps also .

You shouldn't because they are all back up
But try the WiFi and Data first

That was short lived. Now it's back to needing to clear the Play Store cache and data before the updates will download and install.
