Play store won't download anything

I'm a new member and have been having same problems as starter of this thread and others and I followed the answers here and solved my problem.
I want to thank you guys :-) I couldn't download from Play store always stopped just before then end. So I cleared data and cache stopped google play, cancelled my Google account and rebooted. Then reinstalled Google account and I was able to download from play store. Great stuff.

Thanks, Elias! I tried all the suggestions that were posted above yours, and this was the only one that worked!:)

Re: Play store wont download anything

Can you describe any events leading up to this? Otherwise my suggestion is go to Settings>Apps>Manage Apps> and find the Play Store app then clear data/cache on the app. See if that clears things up.

Thank you. It helped.

I am getting the same problem, on Coolpad. I tried clearing up some storage space, even deleting files - but that didn't work.

“””” A Fix For Not Being Able To Download Or Install Apps From The Google Play Store
For People Who Have Tried EVERYTHING And It Still Doesn’t Work !!!!!!”””””””””

To keep a long story short, I had decided to start using an older Android phone of\my wife’s. So I decided to factory reset it so I could start fresh on it. Well after it restarted it immediately being to ***** about not being able to connect to server. Then when I open the play store everything I tried to download was Error retrieving information from server. I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Then hitting the forums and trying everything listed in them at least 10 times. So I was about to just give up then my little voice said try this one last thing and to my surprise it WORKED. Everything was working, updating and downloading. Here are the step to what I did.
1. Remove all accounts and yes this means do a factory reset
2. Restart the device
3. After start up DO NOT and I mean DO NOT create, link or sign in using your google account info. Hit skip this step and let the device fully start up.
4. After is has started and you have a data connection open the Play Store
5. At this time NOW sign in with your google account info.
6. Just sit back and enjoy watching the updates come zooming in.
I don’t know why this worked or how but it worked. I am posting this so that others who are as frustrated as I was, might have a chance at PEACE. May this post save others and lead to calm.

I'm having the exact same problem with my xgody x200 with other error codes -3 and 18 but also the same ones you mentioned :-\

Hi this happened to me on my new LGV10 phone. New apps would start to download for installation but they would get hung up either before downloading anything (apparently based on the progress bar) or after a large percentage of download, e.g. 89% and then hang forever. After trying many things, including deleting all the app cache, I then shut down the phone, turned it off and removed the battery for a few seconds. I replaced the battery, turned it on, booted it up and the problem was completely solved. Simply cleaning up the app cache did not solve the problem! When I booted it back up, I got hella notifications and text messages from up to two days prior.

I currently have Android 5.1.1, Baseband MPSS.B0.2.5.c10-00030-M8992FAAAANAZM-1, Kernel version 3.10.49, Build number LMY47V, Software Version H90010f, Security software version MDF v1.1 Release 5

I hope that his helps someone....
