I did a factory reset :O
It's now gone back to saying July is up to date with a big orange!
Another thing you can try is to clear the cache on the system app named Google services framework

This has been my experience as wellI just setup my new Pixel 7 and when I check for Play System updates I get one is available and when I tap Download & Install I get an error. Seems like an issue on Google's end

That's very possible. With a few different betas and update paths running at once they are bound to make mistakes once in a while. I work in software programming and know how easy it is to bork an update.I wonder if this has anything to do with the 12L update that is coming for tablets. Using some of that for phones
