My main issue is the absolute bar none crudiest battery life of the rezound.. you name it I've tried it.. nothing helps I often times use both my extended batteries just to male it through an average day..

This is my first non moto droid... And my last. Every moto I have had has always given great battery life.. my first foray from moto, will likely be the last..

Also, most people who say "you name it, I've tried" have not actually tried everything. I've gathered this information throughout the years.
2 extended batteries in one day, with the plethora of useful battery tips, means that you have your screen on (with high brightness) and 4G streaming at least 15-18 hours per day.
The biggest help you can give your battery is to turn down brightness and disable 4G when not in use.
The second biggest help is to root your phone and get rid of crap that keeps your device awake or syncing.

Yeah this is true also. Uninstalling all of the social garbage gave me a decent increase in battery longevity.
Also, I re-read my post and feel like I was coming across as an a**hole. Which I did not mean to be.

Google just bought Motorola, so you have to keep that in mind.

They outsource, so that's kind of a moot point unless Google is in the business of making CMOS sensors now?

No no.. I mean everything.. rooted, every Rom, kernals, underclocking, brightness, juice defender pro, etc etc. And no.. I don't stream on 4g, in fact I rarely use 4g at all in hopes of saving battery life.

This phone is hard on batteries, that's for sure. I'm not a tech newb, nor am I new to droids

I do keep chargers handy, at home, work, car, etc, and carry a spare extended battery as well. And I get the same crappy battery life with sense and without, on gingerbread or ics, with juice defender pro or w/o ad nauseam.

I love the phone besides all this. I mean my only real gripe is the battery life.. I know a couple people with the razors, and I wouldnt feel slighted by owning it at all.

Without question, HTC has juice hogs on their roster but it's hard to understand how you could be burning through batteries left and right, unless you're running full bore when powered on. Are you saying you saw no difference just by debloating and ditching Sense, never mind anything else beyond that. I just can't wrap my head around this. Can you screenshot of a full power cycle? Maybe that'll clear it up, for me.

With or with out sense.. if I try and use my phone for just about anything that can be considered regular, texting, browsing a forum, I do frequently search IMDb...

But I can unplug my phone and it drop from 100% to 85 in no time flat, and keep falling. And if I use 4g and/or netflix/videos.. well.. I don't use either unless I have too..

I can take a screenshot for you.. but it will say its my display, despite what brightness level or time out settings i have.

If it is dropping 15% in no time flat, meaning a few minutes? That certainly isn't normal. I would talk to verizon to get a replacement battery or phone.

=Me. I was thinking it might be specifically, ROM related b/c some seem to manage/perform more efficiently than others in the power dept. 2 more questions for you:

1. Is this your orig. Rezound or have you swapped previously?

2. Do you get alotta handoffs between LTE/CDMA in your area on any given day?

If it's not an erratic LTE radio related issue, I'm stumped on culprits. It's such a pain to sift through apps. for answers, so I'll skip asking about this. I couldn't blame you for being fed up, w/ the battery situation, given your experiences. I can see why the Maxx looks rosier by the day. QHd screen and camera are the only things that would make me not seek it as a replacement unit. All the benchmarks, on the stock units, that really matter on the TI 4430, surpass the S3 in almost every way, aside from the #s on the dated gpu.

Yeah its my original rezound, I'm well past return lol.. only reason I didnt swap for another was I figured once Roms started rolling out battery life would get better.

No to handoffs, vzw is great in my area, if I switch to 4g it locks and stays there, same with 3g.

I agree the camera on this phone smokes all other phone cameras I've used.

Gingersense seems to be doing ok on here now.. but I didn't use my phone at work today except to pull it out and check the time.. I was below 80% after a 7hr shift at work.. on my droid x, I could do that and only loose 5% or so.

Folks are reporting 'stuff sucking power' without a clear pattern. My Rezound will run all day on std battery one day, but be done by Noon on another day. Fat Battery goes thru a long day, but not always. No rhyme or reason.

My theory is HTC built me a computer so small, but so COMPLEX. My guess is there is so much going on in my Rezound that I'm glad VZW forgot to add a Blue Screen Of Death. I think it is more a miracle it works at all - and no surprise that this is not consistent.

Ok.. so I'm running nilsp business ginger sense (or what ever its called) and so far I'm happier with the battery life.. I'm still at bare minimum of apps.. so I'm going to add back apps slowly, and see if any cause abnormal drain (shouldnt though).
