Playing audio through USB to car stereo

Ok so im very new to Android phones, and I literally just got my first Android phone this week (HTC One M8). Previously had an IPhone.

What i wasn't aware though, is that apparently Androids have a hard time playing through USB to car stereos? If this is true, has anyone found any way to go around this issue, or are playing through auxiliary cables or bluetooth pretty much the only options?

I have never tried USB, I always use bluetooth and it works great.

The Aux port will work. I havent been able to get USB to work yet though. I just bought a Kenwood KDC-BT318U which has BT, Aux and USB support. I stream tunein radio over BT. I've done it with a cable through the aux port as well. I have not been able to get USB to work though. I like BT for the wirelessness though.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus from everything i've been able to find. Guess I'll just have to stick with Aux port then

most decks are set up for usb from a flash drive and iphone only , they just dont make them for android use so cable s your best option, or a bluetooth add on that plugs into your aux jack.
