Playing/converting .avi's

Ok, I have a sony ericsson xperia play and just bought a 32gb micro sd card. I and am trying to put some of my movies on the card, and once I do it won't play them on my phone. Pretty much all of them are .avi's, so anyone know if there's a video player that will play them, or a way I can convert them into a readable file.

all you have to do is just sync your xperia play to your pc via usb and once you have done that copy an avi file from your pc to your phone however make sure your sd card has enough memory bcuz movies take up lots of space and if you do have enough then just go ahead and copy and that should work also remember if all else fails therez always youtube and piratebay and crackle.
