I have a MagicJack telephone number that gets a few voice mails a week and I receive email notifications which provide a .WAV file of the VM. My problem is the EVO suggests two options for playback, Music or doubleTwist, but neither will play a .wav file.

Does anyone have ideas on how I can easily play those messages from my email account? Thanks.

Well I found my answer by changing my search to ".wav" and suddenly I got several threads. It looks like the cure is a $2.99 program called Remote Wave.

I'm glad that you found Remote Wave. I had the same problem and paid $2.99 for that app. It works well and it's been updated since I got it a month ago.

Yes only solution is app Remote Wave. Because it's a certain kind of wav file, with security or something like that. Android does play normal wav files, just not the voicemail ones.

Palm Pre's webOS had the same problem but there was no app for it over there. I don't understand why it's so hard to incorporate the ability to listen to these particular wav files into the O/S.

Everyone has some random feature that they "don't understand why it's so hard to incorporate into the OS". Considering how extensible the OS is, it really doesn't matter IMO. You're not stuck with the device as it is out-of-the-box.
