Enough of the jokes, is there a way to remain in the green style market? The version which came with the phone? I hate the playstore, it isn't meant for middle end phones like the optimus V.

Well I know that the market updater doesn't work in the current version of bumblebee, so if you run that you get stuck with an older version of market for the time being. You can probably just find an old market apk and uninstall google play. If it updates, just delete the market updater apk.

Also, what is with all the random symbols in your post... maybe it looks like something on a pc, but on my phone it looks just like a big mess...
EDIT: I'm on a PC and now I can see what the mess is supposed to look like... very clever

I know BobZhome has a gapps package with it.

On market startup, it triggers market updater and that determines your market version and if it needs to update.

Pull the market from Harmonia 1.7, it was (one of) the last of the 2x market (it's called Vending.apk in system/apps) then remove market updater in the same place.

It wouldn't work when I tried it using root explorer?

Why don't you think that the latest update is meant for MDPI? I think it looks worse as your resolution goes up from the screenshots I've seen. MDPI forces two columns which IMO looks a lot better.
