I use a rooted Thrive and last night I had to do a factory reset because i got a message saying "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly"
Some of the procedures that I executed before receiving this message were:
1. Moved some .mp4 ringtones from my SD Card to the system/media/audio/ringtone folder which contains only .ogg files.
2. Assigned some of those .mp4 ringtones to my contacts.
3. Downloaded an update for one of my apps
4. Had to turn screen lock sound back on after it was disabled somehow.
Can someone please explain why this may have occurred and what is it about the android.process.acore folder that affects so much functionality of the phone?
Thank you very much
