I can't surf the web on this phone while i'm on a call like I could on my other htc wildfire s.

I don't believe all phones and all carriers can do this. Did you recently switch carriers? It's either that or your phone is no longer capable of it. Also, I remember something about 4G being able to do it but not 3G. Something like that, lol.
