Most times when I put on my Samsung galaxy a24 and use it for some seconds, it suddenly switches to the boot screen and freezes. It doesn't restart until after a long time. Sometime it does the same thing over again when it restarts. Also when I can't wait for it to restart, I perfom a force shutdown on my phone by holding the power button and the lower volume button for some seconds. There are times when i have to do it several times because it keeps doing the same thing over and over again, Is it wrong to do this? If so please tell me. Some of my applications also don't start up, it's either they take a long time to start up or they don't start at all, only a few are able to start up, the battery also drains faster than before, i can't tell if it was because i used it while charging. Its been like this for some days now, my phone also sets my sdcard to read only to prevent data because it thinks its not working correctly. Please what is happening to my phone? I don't have an idea? What causes this and how can I fix this? Was it because of the charging or the constant force shutdowns I did?

I doubt system updates will help. It really sounds like something in the firmware has become corrupt. Give mustang7757 a little more time to return to this thread. I know you're concerned and need help as soon as feasible, but again, we're all volunteers and aren't on duty 24/7.

Wait,I just remove it and put it back in, i'm still getting the same problem, my files in my sd card won't load up. It's either showing white or the internal storage is not loading up. My file was also not showing up, I just went back and it loaded up again,it keeps doing the same thing over and over again. It's just been set to read only automatically again. can this be caused by forced shutdown or using your phone while charging?
We want you to remove the SD card and not install it then reboot your phone to see if it's still acting up

Okay,i'll try that. I'm going to reboot my phone without the sd card and tell you what happens. Also do you think this can be caused by a forced shutdown or using your phone while charging?
Ok let us know, no I don't think your issue from forced shut down or using while charging but don't keep doing those force shutdown

Okay, I'm just done doing that and I notice something. My files and apps are not freezing or slowing down. Could the problem actually be from my sdcard? Please what is the cause of it and how can I fix it? Also I might not be able to respond in several hours because I'm busy with something else but please let's keep in touch. I would be back soon.

A corrupt card can cause all manner of problems. It would be best to either reformat the card and see if the problem persists, or just change to a new card. Any important files (like documents, photos, music) on the card could be backed up by inserting it into a computer. However, if any apps were saving their data to the card, that might be harder to backup.

As a general rule, it's a good idea not to rely on SD cards as the sole storage location for important data, since they're more likely to fail compared to onboard storage or an SSD.

Is that what's causing my problems? A corrupt sdcard? I did notice my phone switched to the boot screen and froze
for some time when I put it back in. Do you know how I can tell if my sd card is corrupt? Is there something else I can do beside formatting or changing? Also I might not respond in several hours, I might be very busy but I will surely come back, please don't forget about this thread.

You can try inserting the card into a Windows PC and run the chkdsk command: [GUIDE] Using chkdsk to fix a corrupted SD card - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com.

Also, if you got this card really cheap from a random seller (as opposed to a well-established retail store), there's also the possibility it's a counterfeit card, which can start to cause issues if you start to save more data on the card than it can actually handle. Thanks. I'm back from what i was doing,i finally have enough time to attend to this thread. Is there a way I can check without using a pc? Like an online site or something?

I don't think there would be an online site that could scan a card. If you don't have a PC, consider going to your local public library, where you can typically use one of the PCs there. chkdsk is a system command, so you wouldn't have to install any new programs on the computer.
