PLEASE Help !! Still having problems with caller ID on Dinc, after 2.2 Froyo update !

Hello, All.

I am still having intermittent problems with my Droid Incredible caller ID function...all of which started after the 2.2 Froyo update.

I have tried everything I know to fix the problem.

Here is a typical scenario :

Joe Smith calls me at 1pm and I see his caller ID
Joe Smith calls me at 3pm ( from the same exact #) and I see only the # calling me, not his name or full caller ID.

The problem happens only a small amount of the time, but is really annoying. It may not happen for a few days.. then it might happen twice in a day.

I have been on the phone with HTC and have done 3 clean installs of the OS on my phone, I have moved all my contacts to google and still have I this occasional problem.

It's like having a watch that stops working 1-2 times per week.

I have talked with VZW tier 2 support and I guess the next step is to warranty out the phone.

Can anyone offer any advice or any items that I may have overlooked ???

I don't think there has been a fix to this as of yet. I still have the problem. It's sporadic but only happens with my call waiting. But I can understand your frustration.

Thanks, Man. I finally talked with VZW again and they say that they are unaware of this issues ( they obviously are not monitoring the blogs ! ).

Anyways, they said they would send me another phone, probably a refurb. I am not sure if that will solve this problem or not.

Ramireh, I hear from most people that they have the problem with call waiting and not necessarily when a new call comes through...and I have heard this mostly with the EVO... do you have the EVO or Dinc..

Just asking because it seems to be a less common problem on the Dinc vs. Evo.

I wonder if it could be a problem with an app. ?

Does anyone have any thoughts on getting a warranty phone that is a refurb?

VZW said should be just as good as new.

Just sick of the dang issue. It's like having a watch that looses 15 minutes every week.
