Just bought an LG G2 (at&t) from a seller on Swappa, and the phone arrived as described except for one issue: the LED light on the front is extremely dim. Probably about 10% of what it should be which renders it nearly useless. He said it worked fine before he shipped it to me, and the phone was wrapped up securely so I don't see how any damage incurred on the way. Has anyone else ever had this issue? Tried powering on and off and even downloaded/installed the small maintenance update to no avail.

I always found the led to be very bright. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be for you. It doesn't sound like a hardware problem. Have you tried a system reset? Could be an app that is causing the problem.

A system reset as in turning it off and on? Because I've tried that multiple times. Also tried apps like lightflow to see if I could force it to work properly and they didn't help so I uninstalled them.

See how the LED works when activated by the Light Flow app. Try some different colors. Maybe theres something wrong with the way the standard software sends the signal to the led. Never hurts to try...

Nope, a factory reset. You'll find it in settings under backup and reset.

This is probably not the cause, but do you have a screen protector on that does not have a cut-out for the LED?

tried lightflow and another similar app, can change colors and frequency just fine, but it's still extremely dim and no settings helped it.

nope.. no screen protector. gosh this is discouraging y'all.

More than likely a hardware issue and more than likely was that way before it was sold to you. :-(
