Please logout and login again! why am I getting this message?

"Please logout and login again!"

My stock Nexus 5 running stock Lollipop occasionally pops up "Please logout and login again!" in a grey bubble near the bottom of the screen:

I can't figure out which application is doing this or complaining.

Googling around I see a number of other people with the same problem and no solution.

Does anybody know which app is complaining?

Possibly related (or not): Frequently the phone will go black for no reason while I'm using it. If I wait 5 seconds or so, pressing power brings it back (but not sooner).

I haven't seen the image but just a wild guess, could it be Facebook?

This "Please logout and login again!" issue appears to be a widespread issue effecting numerous brands of Android handsets.

It happened all of a sudden to me on my two month old T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z3 phone. After conversations with Sony tech support, and reinstalling Sony software, it appeared to stop it but not sure, as Sony swapped out the phone for a brand new one.

Today is exactly two months since I've received my new phone and this "Please logout and login again!" has now started.

It's obviously an Android Operating system issue, so hopefully someone will get this to the correct people at Google

I finally found an answer! You probably have gReader installed. That's the culprit.

OK, but how do I get rid of it? I already tried logging out and back into Greader again!

I just uninstalled greader. How'd you track down what app was the offender?
