PLEASE need help with root!..

I tried updating the binaries in superSU and it failed..i installed superSU from the android market..now your telling me you did it from XDA?..you say one thing in your rooting post and now your saying another?..confused..

My link to Supersu in my guide takes you right to XDA..so maybe I'm confused.

I'm having the same issue with the su binary not updating in supersu, and because of that wireless tether won't work for me. Tried re-installing su from Amon-ra recovery, and cleaning up the app (uninstalled/re-installed the app, too) but no dice. Should I try a different ROM?

You should only need superSU on the stock ICS leak or one of the Sense 4 ROMs. I installed su via AmonRa then installed superuser from the market(which didn't work) then flashed SuperSU and that worked.

That ended up working for me. Also, I got curious and tried out the RezRom Evita ROM (with Sense 4). But I like Scott's CleanROM enough to re-flash it with revised root and super-Su just in case I need a more stable daily driver (Sense 4 is gorgeous, but the ROM needs some slight stability work). Might take care of that this weekend. Thanks again, Mr. Smith.
