If I see one more thread about... A certain issue, I'm going to explode.

Let the people that are happy with the device be happy, and let the haters hate. No one is above anyone else, opinions are not matter of fact, and not everyone is the expert that they pretend to be. Let's get back to enjoying things for ourselves and not letting tech blogs, YouTube videos and opposing advertisements dictate what is good and what isn't.

Hear hear I love pixel 2 XL for what it is. I couldn't agree more with your points

Isn't a thread about issue threads still an issue thread? LOL :D

Joking, of course. I was lured in by the title but stayed for a very valid point. This place can be Complaint Central some days, especially with new devices and high expectations.

It really is crazy. I guess it makes some people feel better about their situation when they down a phone. I actually think some can't afford it and others are fanboys from rival manufacturers throwing up gang signs up in here..lol. I'll tell you what, I've had the phone for a few days and I don't think there is any phone that can come close to the software experience. The speed, smoothness, optimization and intuitive function is unmatched. No repeat apps, no garbage to sift through. It's the new "old" iPhone in my opinion in that the software is priority over hardware. I say old because recently, apple has actually gone down hill with software. My XL stutters and janks much less than my wife's iPhone 8. This is what makes the difference in my overall experience.Could care less about a perfect screen. I see Google as the only company that is hungry to make their new line seamless and uncomplicated as possible. I like that. Remember that they are new to this phone game. They will only get better with each model sort of learning from mistakes. I predict that some haters today, will be pixel users Tomorrow.

Or some people just genuinely concerned. Not the witch hunt that has been going on, but pointing out actual problems isn’t a bad thing. I’ve had all but one nexus phone and had last years pixel xl and went with this years pixel 2 smaller instead. Not because I couldnt afford it, but because I’d rather be safe than sorry. Perfectly rational to me.

I've been on Android since 2013 now and had all iPhone prior to that (4, 4s, 5, 5s) 6p was the Android phone that made me really love Android and it's only gotten better. Now when I use my wife's iPhone it's so frustrating. Scrolling is slow and rubbery feeling, I have to sift thru pages and pages of random apps to even find settings. iOS is an outdated mess.

I've tried to get her to use Android
..but she's just stuck on iOS...so I have to keep wasting money on iCrap. Google has come a long way. I had the original Motorola Droid and man it was frustratingly bad.

I can agree that's why I said "some". I'm sure you were concerned, obviously enough for you to buy the smaller model. I just hope it wasn't because of the chatter and it was from personal experience.

Like how I said explode?.... Like batteries. Haha

The positives far outweigh the negatives I'm seeing in these forums. I just wish mine would get here. 10 more days, ARRGH!

I think this qualifies as another thread on that same topic.

So this thread gets locked.

Remember, there's no need to reply to a thread you disagree with. You don't have to have the last word. If a topic bothers you, you can, you know, just avoid it instead of making yourself angry about it.

If you want to give your opinion, feel free to do so. But please understand that others are allowed to disagree with your opinion. If you can do this constructively without making it personal, we can continue. If you can't, then please stop.

If someone is crossing the line with their comment, report it and let the moderators handle it. If they get you to cross the line too, then you're just as guilty.
